Help! In the early 2000's I played a video game (not sure if it was on the playstation or if it was a Nintendo...I just know I played on one of the systems the kids in my house at that time had). There were 5 areas to explore and one of the areas had the main bad guys being vampires. The more you explored the areas...the more the map showed. You had to go through portals to get into the areas but it was not the Diablo game! It is driving me crazy that I can't remember the name of this game! It was NOT Dungeon Hack either. One of my main hates about the game was that you could control the view with your controller and sometimes your character would come in full view and all you saw was a head. You could also turn the toon to show the panorama. Please if ANYONE can remember this game let me know. I thought it was Dungeon Quest or Wizards & Warriors but it isn't nor is it:Ultima, Darkstone or any of the AD&D video games or any of the Forgotten Realms games. I KNOW I played this game for at least a year (ok so I wasn't good at video games. LoL) HELP!!!! And thanks to all who reply!
I wouldn't know a video game if it bit me in the patoot...qualifying that, I do know a flight sim or two. What I enjoy is research. Based on your clues... Time frame, early 2000s 5 areas to explore portals vampire theme, at least in one area List of vampire video games http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vampire_video_games My best guess based on your clues is Castlevania series 1986 - present used by various systems, including Nintendo. It's not an exact match given your descriptors, but enough to throw in the ring as a contender. If that's not the answer, I suggest rephrasing the boolean search for what you do remember of the game. Research my friend.
Do you happen to remember anything from the storyline? Or characters? Anything you can give will help.
I had a friend who played Castlevania so I know it wasn't that. I'm hoping I might still have it packed away in my basement. I posted all I remember of the game. LoL. Wish I could remember more about it. - - - Updated - - - No it was just a run of the mill video game sort of like the AD&D video games. In fact, I played that also and beat it and then my nephew brought me this one and I loved it. (He doesn't remember what the name of the game was either.)
I searched google images under every type of "phrase" I could think of. At first I thought it was Darkstone but the images for that game doesn't look familiar at all. - - - Updated - - - Thank you to everyone who replied. IF I ever find the name of this game: I will post it here.
Nope I never played that either. I can count on one hand the number of video games I've played in my life: AD&D (the first one), This one that I can't remember, Duck Hunt and Diablo I. That's why it bothers me that I can't remember the name of this one...it's not like I've played so many of them that they all run together. LoL
You're absolutely sure you're not thinking of a certain PS2 Castlevania title? I know there was one with a set of portals like you were describing, and it was in 3D of course, unlike the better, older games
I know you said you can't remember more about the game in another post but there has to be something else you remember. Could you choose from characters? Could you create a character? What kind of character do you remember being, a mage, a warrior? Did you use spells, weapons? Were there NPCs, towns? And by portals do you mean you would find a portal and it would take you to another area? It wasn't one of the kings field series was it?
I found this thread on another forum not sure if I'm breaking any rules on this but if so hopefully the mods will let it slide since I think it might be just the place your looking for in regards to this particular question. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/for...-playing-but-cant-remember-the-name-of?page=1
