I fail to recall when or why I left, but then I am 75 and expectations of remembering are low to begin with.
I am a dual citizen who has called Vancouver, BC home for 40 years and through some luck and creative accounting I am able to live in the most expensive city in North America...
I am left of liberal and anti gun, anti war. The best way to start a fight with me is treat someone as lesser than you....
I tend to vote the middle but have no fear of collectivism and wealth distribution. In the 90's I proudly paid 55% income tax as well as property tax. But you can make filthy money in Canada.
I love a good debate but any more appreciate the role of caustic observer, just because I know Trump is an idiot doesn't mean I'm in any way impressed with Joe. My grandfather has more life in him and he's been dead for 60 years!
I have been involved as a speech writer in federal and provincial politics and was part of a vast team that first elected Kim Cambell who became Canad's first prime minister. I also worked for the woman who defeated her in the next election.
Yes I have morals, but loyalty comes with a price tag

Sounds like you're like me then, where thinking Trump is a raging dumpster fire does not make Joe Biden any better, and Joe Biden being a senile doddering old man does not make Trump any better.

I was stationed in a news cruiser outside the hospital the Christmas day he was born. I was a thorn in the side of his father as a Parliament Hill reporter and an apologist to his mother for a mis-publicized interaction I had with her before Justin Was born.
I new him through social circles while he was a high school teacher in Vancouver. He was and is extremely well respected among his peers and students. I know him as an avid hiker, and modern thinker much like his mother sees deeply into people, is caring and compassionate; I as surprised when he turned to politics.

You cannot rate a prime minister in Canada without a comparison either modern of historical; he is NOT his father ("just watch me") but is no less a weakling. He has shrewdly managed the isolated thinking of the provinces with a much more deft hand than his father. But DO NOT forget his father is the true father of confederation and Justin knows that. I know that is a responsibility that weighs on him.

As a leader he has done extremely well, as running Canada is no easy matter, nor is holding the Liberal Party (A coalition really) together. When you consider Newfoundlanders cultural differences, Quebec's language issues, Ontario's greed the Prairies neediness and BC's practiced stoicism.....

At the end of the day "Pierre Poly" isn't a bona fide leader, he's an arrogant scrapper who hurls anger at issues as opposed to solutions. Jagmeet is not ready for the PM's chair but is much more qualified than Jagmeet.

As an observation, I believe the Liberals a laying a nice big juicy trap for the Tories next year just like they did with Harper. They had them all set up with a huge anti-Trudeau campaign "Trudeau wants to put your kid on DRUGS" they shrieked only to discover Canadians didn't give a **** and didn't believe them.

If he manages to get elected, Poly will be a terrible prime minister making us forget Joke Lark
