I wouldn't want him for a neighbor or a drinking buddy but I didn't vote for a drinking buddy. I voted for a president that would proceed with a conservative agenda and he has. 2nd Amendment is as threatened as it was. Immigration is being enforced more rigorously that it was under Obama. The Fed is raising interest rates while still maintaining a good economy. Hillary isn't president. Life is good.

 

LOL! If you've ever voted during a Presidential election you would know that there is a tick mark for your Presidential preference which you may select. Blues, don't waste your time. Those of us here who passed high school civics know it's the Electoral College that actually casts the real votes for the prez. That's why you had a slew of Hollywood Half-Wits begging the electors to NOT vote for Trump after the election HERE.

You can swear oaths and repeat the Pledge of Allegiance (I wish everyone would)... but the electoral college remains a function of a democracy where the people don't have an equal vote, their representatives do that for them.

I'm going out on a limb and try to explain our electoral college for you so please bare with me....

Say you have only 3 states in your union, and each states has only 10 registered voters (a total of 30 voters) and each state gets 1, and only one, electoral vote (total of 3 electoral votes altogether).

This is a Democracy - governing by representation ~ NOT governing by granting each citizen an equal voice.

It's quite possible Hilla has been dead for quite some time now, maybe of alcohol poisoning, and we've never been told about it. I don't know if you ever watched Star Trek: DS9 but there was an episode where a Vorta was killed but by using medical tech, they were able to animate the corpse so that it could walk about while a Ferengi held a controller. The Vorta walked with a stilted gait, much like Hilla does. It's likely someone - maybe Huma - is also modulating her vocal cords to repeat simple phrases like "Hate Trump" and "Not my fault."

It's not as difficult to pull off as you might imagine since there's not much difference between a live Hillary and a dead one outside of a dead Hillary maybe doesn't drink as much.

 

Everyone knows the electoral college is a form of democracy (i.e. governing by representative), not a republic (each citizen has an equal vote). Ours is a functioning Democratic-Republic. Everyone completing high school is supposed to know that. Pitiful what slips through graduation these days... maybe it's due to the general failings of those myriad unhealthy phonies who are supposed to be, "teaching," our kids... Lord have Mercy!

You do understand that I am not arguing against the fact that we use the electoral College to name our President, right? I am simply saying that more Americans wanted Hillary Clinton to be our President than those wanting Trump. It's simply an objective fact... so is the fact that having an Electoral College make such decisions for us (God forbid they ever decide to NOT to vote the will of their constituencies) is a democratic form of government and not a republic.

The double digit unemployment and failing economy is what Pres. Bush handed over to Obama. Trump inherited single digit unemployment and a healthy economy and has, so far, simply managed not to to screw it all up ~ yet.
