    Nothing funnier/sadder than watching my countrymen fight. Businessmen arguing the state is the problem, when the largest firms write the legislation. Anti-market wanna-be leftists arguing for more and more state intervention, that only ends up benefiting said larger firms.

    Nah, Catholic Churchs aren't Baptists. Our collections are usually for outside functions that don't deal with the local parish. As where a Baptist Church collects strictly for it's coffers.

    The article says that the law doesn't require proof of citizenship when students sign up to school - why not? If it did, then you wouldn't have illegal immigrants attending the school at all, saving you all this trouble!

    If the school/government wanted to collect the statistical data, wouldn't it be racist to just count the spanish speaking kids in the classroom? Or is the school not allowed to collect the data? If they can ask for your race on a Census form, I'm not sure I see the difference.

    When parents enroll a child in school they must prove that they live within the borders of the school district. If they are not legal residents of the district, their children are not allowed to attend school within that district.

    The same standard should be used for illegal immigrants. If they are not LEGAL residents of the school district, their children should not be allowed to enroll in the district's schools.

    Rules should not be more lax for illegal immigrants than they are for legal residents of the country.

    That is not exactly true. There is this thing called open enrollment where schools accept out of district students. It happens all the time. In fact my daughter is an out of district student.

    this is about what is right and what is wrong, illegals being here is wrong as is they using our public school systems . im sorry im not an vote loving democrat only wanting illegals here to try and gain a vote.

    The people I feel bad for are the ones that went through the hoops and guidelines to become a citizen. It would have been much easier for them to just ignore our laws and gain support of the liberals that just call everyone racist for disagreeing with them.

    But then again legal immigrants love this country more than the liberals do.
