The League of the South looks to the present and future. However, from time to time we do look back at our past.

This 14th of April will mark the 150th anniversary of John Wilkes Booth’s execution of the tyrant Abraham Lincoln. The League will, in some form or fashion, celebrate this event. We remember Booth’s diary entry: “Our country owed all her troubles to him, and God simply made me the instrument of his punishment.” A century and a half after the fact, The League of the South thanks Mr. Booth for his service to the South and to humanity.
Well, i haven't got any words... Great man who created free, strong America!
And now, these stupid racists celebrates his death, it's awful!
these guys forget about their roots and work of our ancestors, they forget that America should be strong and it doesn't matter what is the color of your skin!
What do you think about these "event" guys?

Lincoln will always top the "best presidents" list.... but ignoring Habeus Corpus

    http://www.history.com/this-day-in-...he-writ-of-habeas-corpus-during-the-civil-war

but he won the war. Winners of wars write the history books. Plus, the assassination itself cemented Lincoln's legacy. Nothing vaults mediocrity into legend quicker than a bullet to the back of your skull. Lincoln was killed after his success and never got the opportunity to fail like Andrew Johnson did. Lincoln may not have failed... but noone will ever know.

JFK was POTUS for 1xx days, had a huge win with the Cuban Missle Crisis, then was killed. The blame of Vietnam fell to someone else....not to the man who put us there.

Lincoln was one of the most influential presidents we ever had, probably #2 only to George Washington himself IMHO..... but if he's not assassinated... we don't last remember Lincoln for winning the Civil War, we remember him for screwing up reconstruction

Well considering there is no statute of limitations on condoning the assassination of a President, I think that you just raised a whole bunch of red flags at the NSA. I think you are shortly going to get your own little black van shadow outside of your house, your finances will be poured over, the Secret Service is probably pouring over everything you have ever posted on the internet and every phone call you have ever made trying to determine what level of a threat you actually are.

    Hope it was worth it.

If you want to play that ridiculous game then you can start with Truman.

    You lose.

Actually, it was Ike who got us into Vietnam. Some say JFK was killed because he was planning to abandon Vietnam, but then others say that he was killed because he had Diem assassinated or because he tried to kill Castro. Who knows.

JFK was assassinated because he and his younger brother turned on the group that secured his election, the Mafia.

Lincoln was one of the worst Presidents in American history, responsible for dividing the nation, spitting on the constitution, and setting the foundation towards the divisions we have to this day.

Yes indeed, truly this is the best example of the "Christian Morals and Principles" that these people have pride in!

By cowardly and murdering in the back of our president is the perfect example of the "Pride of the South".

One is most telling comments from these back-stabbers, is its one thing to have murder, rape, theft and torture for our president and all minorities in the lense of the 1800s, but these mental midgets CURRENTLY still thrill and get hard-ons over these most evil of deeds and actions, and wish for it's return!

These scum murdered our president while he was bringing freedom to the rest of the Americans who the white bigoted murders and rapists who stole billions of dollars making themselves wealthy at the costs of everyone else in America.

No one can claim Christianity or being actual American who yet believes in these terrible activities and beliefs.

I'm sure the North viewed them as in the wrong the same way the Crown saw the colonists as in the wrong. Perspective is everything.

Freedom of speech should never be restricted to speech that we agree with. I am appalled by this group but completely support their right to express their views so long as said views do not endorse future acts of violence.

Nah, I don't. But I'm glad more and more people are recognizing that Lincoln was a progressive (hence why people like Brewskier despise him). The laughable notion that Lincoln was a conservative is garbage revisionist history.

The Mod in New Orleans, the birth place of the Mafia in American and thy turned on and embarrassed the most powerful Boss of Boss, that is a sure fire way to get hit. One cannot be in bed with the Mob and turn on them later they do not forgive, ask Hoffa, if you can find him.

Anyway this is off topic but interesting, beats the heck out of the Nonsense in the OP.

True, they (not anyone here, so this isn't a personal insult) love to characterize well known people as being conservative because they think it helps their message. The funny part is when it backfires because either A. the person was found out not to be conservative, or B. they pick someone like Cosby because he says what they can't, but then you see how that also turned out recently, or C. they pick someone like Cliven Bundy, well...ask them about him today.

When that happens, they then just move on to another person and develop a case of amnesia whenever their name is brought up again.

He forced millions of people to live under a nation they didn't identify with and killed hundreds of thousands in the process. What a savior. If England had won the war, they'd be considered saviors as well.
