Hope Hicks won't answer questions about the White House in congressional interview

This increasingly has the look of a criminal investigation laying the groundwork for prosecution on obstruction of justice, contempt of Congress, and lying under oath. For those who are still so uninformed to believe Trump's has been exonerated after "many" investigations you are about to be enlightened. Trump has been exonerated of nothing. HIck's evasion has been just another log added to the fire. Five lawyers? Nothing suspicious here.

The picture being painted is that of a mob boss and his devoted capos and consiglieri, Barr, ducking and weaving the truth and hiding the evidence of multiple crimes. The voices for impeachment grow daily. The stick of dynamite awaiting a lit fuse is the Mueller Report on national, network television. Trump and his mob have used every trick and ploy to keep the match away from that fuse and hide the Report from the network news hours. Once the dynamite goes off, a few of Trump's fans will abandon ship. Most will inevitably go down with it, glub, glub.

Democrats want this whole affair out in the open in PUBLIC testimony, in front of Congress, before a national television audience. Then the public will start demanding an answer to the overriding question -- What are these people hiding? Once the public realizes that they have been lied to about the Mueller Report, it will signal the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency.

There is indeed, a long game being played here and, at that, Pelosi is the master.

 

Volunteered to save his own arse, Hicks has done nothing wrong and has nothing to save and already has a fine.....................well you know what I mean.

Are you denying that executive privilege exist as a constitutional foundation of our government, the three separate branches?

 

This is NOT a criminal investigation Congress has no such power or authority, that would be a violation of the separation of powers. They have no right to inquire about the internal deliberations of another branch of the government not the executive not the judicial.

 

So you are OK with these House members asking her about her private sex life, what did that have to do with Russian collusion or OOJ?

 

No this is obstruction of justice.

 

No worries... No chance anything about her sex life was going to get answered with all the objections... But maybe they should have asked her about her PUBLIC sex life, since you seem to indicate her private sex life is out of bounds??

P.S. Nobody did, BTW... I finished the transcript this AM and Hicks was asked zero questions about her sex life... You will have to wait for the book or movie to find out how often she and Corey were doin' it...

With all the objections and Hicks unable to answer a single question about ANYTHING between 1/20/2017 (at noon - this was made clear) and 3/29/2018, the transcript is a very boring read.... I don't recommend it..

The big takeaway for me (and I admit it was Rachel Maddow who pointed this out before I got there in the transcript) was that the Trump campaign was concerned about the Trump Pee Pee tape the day after the Access Hollywood tape came out.(Pages 195-19. Those must have been some fun days in the campaign...

Sounds like we need to hear from Katrina Pierson, who notified Hicks to contact Cohen on this topic.

I didn't read that in the testimony yesterday... It's VERY likely that if Hopey was aware, Trumpy was aware, but she doesn't say that...

Besides, if there IS a tape, it's pretty obvious Trump would know what's in it....

I don't think Hope is stonewalling.... she's simply following advice from the 5 lawyers she brought in the room with her (some of them even hers).... you'd do the same..
