Possibly the biggest driver of sickness in the US is stress, and also lack of hope which is a driver of depression. If she could pay off 3,000 a year she'd clear that bill in just 330 years.
I went off topic. The HOPE is that because it costs less to run a single payer healthcare system, that we will dump the patchwork quilt system we have for something simpler. That would save money so we'd have more money to spend on wars, which is the government's main objective.
