I would never attend an event or go to an area dominated by black youth. Many black people will not do the same either.

I'm not sure I know what you are saying. If we had a story after story of white men going into black churches and shooting them up---then I would say a white man entering a black church denotes a real risk. But we have one. One denotes an anomoly.

But there have been incident after incident of black groups attacking a white person. Lots of incidents but its not called a hate crime unless the white person is gay. But regardless enough incidents for us to know that if you have a white son who wants to go to a black majority concert, you'd take the car keys away and call him stupid.

I don't know. I'd say don't worry and have fun. I've actually been incircled by a group of blacks and pummeled when I was in high school in the 1980's. I was not even 5", weighed 89lb and a girl circled by over 10 black males and pummeled for not showing enough respect to a black student in my class. Whites don't do that as rule.

That with the pummeling going on in the news tells me that you are more at risk if you leave your black friends.
