House Committee Conducts Hearings on Benghazi Security Failure

Now this is veering into the rediculous. Those 100 K cocktail parties generate Billions in business deals.

As I said earlier .. were this the Bush, or Romney administration the result would have been no different.

Part of the solution to problems such as this is "prevention" .. as in not going around starting wars, supporting wars and killing people in other soverign nations.

 

That was what the hearing demonstrated...The 'security risk' WAS considered less BY WASHINGTON. It was most assuredly NOT considered less by the folk in Libya or the Ambassador.

 

I have no idea what you are talking about because you have not said anything in relation to what your problem is with the Benghazi issue.

If you have something to say .. a case to make .. then do present it.

 

And even then Reuters noted the fact that the embassy had repeatedly asked for more security and State refused.

 

And business deals always trump live diplomats in dangerous posts? The meme of cut budgets is BS...There is no budget and nothing the House has done on the issue has made it through the Senate to the president for signature. All that has happened are continuing resolutions, not actual money bills.

 

I never watched the hearings. The State Department made a decision based on the information that it had .. numerous security decisions are made by this Department on a daily basis.

If the State Department was negligent .. then we will be hearing about it soon.

Clearly, the Obama admin let the ambassador and his people down. They died because of Obama admin incompetence.

The economy is also in a shambles because of Obama admin incompetence. If Obama were running an Office Max like this, he would be cleaning out

his office right now. Fortunately for America, we can clean out Obama's office for him in Nov.

 

It was clear, and had to dragged out of Ms. Lamb, that the folk in country had repeatedly asked for more security, that the threat as demonstrated by over 200 incidents of growing violence, was dire, and that nothing the Embassy said of did short of receive an attack like this one was going to result in actual security personnel. State was vested in the 'training locals' and 'reduced threat from Al Qaeda' memes and no reality in country was going to change that.

 

Tomorrow night. Biden gets to explain this mess.

 

Will he be any more truthful than Lamb and Kennedy today? I doubt it.

As I pointed out earlier, you can't substantiate your ignorant, confused claim because you're not informed enough to differentiate between a memo that went out in 2011 from the security requests that were made the following year.

Your confused, uninformed claim has been debunked by the facts that were presented to you earlier, and no one has asked you to make their case for them. Little wonder, given the fact that you can't even support your own case.

Any fool could tell that 3-5 people were insufficient to defend the consulate, and the requests for additional security and the deaths of four Americans is proof of that. I don't need to call the idiots at State responsible for this debacle to belabor the obvious, yet somehow this manages to escape your feeble grasp.

 

That won't be the fun of it. It'll be Ryan raking him over the coals.

If Biden tells the truth (makes sense to America), then he will expose Obama as a lying incompetent. If Biden keeps up the charade, Ryan will make mince-meet of nobody-messes-with- Joe.

IF the State Department was negligent?

The deaths of Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans are sufficient evidence of the State Department's negligence. Ignoring and refusing the requests for additional security that could have prevented those deaths is sufficient evidence of the State Department's negligence.

We've already heard about the State Department's negligence. Today's hearings were intended to get to the bottom of that negligence.

 

There may have been funerals, but has anyone heard about a funeral for Ambassador Stevens, was his body available for viewing? There has been several sources that said he died of head injuries not smoke inhalation.

 

You're the "gifted" one who confused a 2011 security memo with the 2012 security requests, not me.

As stated to you before, that 2011 memo wasn't the security requests that were made in 2012.
