I spotted an acrostic word puzzle on the back of a kid's menu at the El Tovar Hotel Restaurant at the Grand Canyon with my nic written there plain as day.

    How could I resist?

Your sig is incorrect. I know racist Liberals. Lots of em. Not many who'd admit to being racist, but they are racist, nonetheless.

I tried PrometheusShrugged on another blog, meaning I'm opposed to Ayn Rand. Prometheus is an inventor; Atlas is an investor, a dumb hulk who supported the globe only when it was a jungle where King Ape ruled. As usual, the Netwits didn't get it and thought I must be a follower of Ayn Rand's rich-parasite fantasies. Because of our dumbed-down education, which includes college graduates, Netties can't understand anything original. They have to re-arrange whatever they read as if it were a typo. That might be fine for Google, but it doesn't lead to any understanding of the real world if we can only think what we're told to think.

I used to drive race cars, and am a fan of the Indy 500. Frank Capua was a character played by Paul Newman in a very good movie about Indy car racing.

Talking about how much bull(*)(*)(*)(*) astrology is while on the phone with my brother at a camp fire. We both share the Gemini zodiac. Later in the same conversation we starting talking about politics.

I stumbled up this website and the rest is history.

Now I curse my login, and wish I could change it to something else. But I suspect that I am stuck with it as it now has a small reputation and I just don't think the mods are going to change it.

I needed to make a username. I wanted to make the process of choosing a username as effortless as possible while still keeping the name unique. I had a fan on my desk. Those are the circumstances which gave birth to the username DeskFan.

My username comes from my company "Straight and Narrow Gateway Arches".
I'm currently working to build 8 gateway arches in the Black Hills. 4 in the north, and 4 in the south.
One in the south is in Hot Springs. I'm building a rainboe gateway arch. I have a leprechaun community at the end of the rainbow, and pot o gold, leprechaun horses, and my lep's make leprechan art glass.
I'm calling the arch the "Badlands Rainbow Arch and Ranch."

The Leprechauns are from the badlands, and the Souix are the only ones who know where to find them.
The leprechauns are bad people because they are from the badlands.
But we are gonna have a leprechaun stagecoach line, horse and buggy, and saddle riding. We are even gonna have a yellow brick road around downtown.

We expect to become a 200 mile x 200 mile theme park without walls, gates, admission. Plus make reality Tv shows of my lep's called "Keepin up with the Munchkenz." And I hope Disney produces my effort to build the national treasures that these Arches will become.

In fact, I hope Disney realizes that I will be 100 times bigger and better than them. Everything I need is already here in Rapid City.

I'm odd..and I'm a quine....which is Doric for a girl/female. Doric is the dialect of Scots spoken in the northeast of Scotland, btw....the same dialect as local Elgin loon (boy/male), Kevin McKidd ,uses as Young MacGuffin in "Brave".

Mine refers to my hobby, fly fishing. I flick flies out into the water to entice the trout.

I have no imagination, so I left it up to my parents to choose my on-line name, at the time of my birth. I was like 12 when I first started posting on these fora, so I was forbidden from posting my surname in case of internet weirdos. LOL, I have since come to see the wisdom of those instructions. :D

When younger...I lived in Yosemite Nat'l Park for a decade or so. The local Native American Culture was an important historical aspect of the Valley, and many areas carried Native names....including the street I lived on.

The word "Tecoyah" roughly translates to Valley of the Waving Grasses in the Miwok language, and when I had to pick a name on the internet...I wanted something no one else would pick.

I wanted something pretentious and to inflate my ego while not being too noticeable about it, I was originally going to use "Real Freedom" as my username but realized that this would be too obvious and not that unique, so instead thought "Skeptical Heretic" sounded better.

"Webrock" is somewhat representative of my first and last names.
It was my first online "handle", and came about when I played a lot of online poker...(before our exalted keepers determined...for me...that I shouldn't be able to do something so awful as gambling with my own money...statist jackasses). The extra "K" was an accidental addition when I registered at Political Hotwire a number of years ago (my first "real" political forum...besides my local newspaper's little political chat room (<----there, rather naively, I used my real name. BIG MISTAKE! lol), and I've just kept it.

I went to a seminar on digital communications protocols in Madrid Spain back in the 80s & the engineer giving the course asked us to come up with names for our different stations.

I suggested that for ease we name his station “Lobo” & for the rest of our stations be named “Lobato1, Lobato2, Lobato3, etc., etc. because “Lobato” in Castilian Spanish in addition to being a wolverine (the literal translation), also can be used to mean a novice-learner, a greenhorn follower of the leader, etc., & because everyone liked the idea my station became “Lobato1.”

I have since then used that name Lobato1 as a call sign, a pseudonym or what ever.

    Best Regards

    Lobato1
