I just thought it would be interesting to see if anyone thinks they can run things better than the current President. I hear complaining from a lot of people about what Obama is doing wrong, etc. Do you think you could do a better job than Obama can?

    Everyone thinks that.

The reality is more complicated, being that presidents aren't dictators, and successful presidentin' requires some crazy mad social skills, as you try to herd cats running in a hundred different directions.

I could blow the President to pieces. His leadership is out of touch, hypocritical, and dangerous. If I was President, I would institute laws that would not just restore prosperity, freedom, and liberty, but laws that would allow for unprecedented economic stability, economic mobility, etc. Now, the President can probably beat me in a sweet-talking contest, but not a policy-making contest.

I have zero doubt that I would be a far better POTUS than Obama. No doubt whatsoever.

Hahahahahahaha!! People who have no use to society talking about doing a better job than someone who actually made it!! Why don't you guys become President and prove you can do a better job instead of sitting here telling us you can.

I can't wait to see Subdermal up on the stage talking about being a better President than Obama.

Please guys... keep up the laughs!!

Well, Obama is a very skilled politician. Obviously none of us possess that skill.

However, I am certain just about anyone could hire advisers and make economic decisions based on what would benefit the country over what would benefit themselves politically.

So I'd say I think most of you could do better than Obama.

I would do a better job than Obama or Bush or Reagan for that matter. To end the deficit, simply call in all the $20+ trillion sheltered overseas in tax free accounts. Since these monies were not used to pay taxes, I would use them to rebuild the infrastructure in a manner consistent with the writings of John Quincy Adams and FDR. Then, I would withdraw all troops from foreign bases and end the military industrial complex as per the thoughts of libertarians as well as Eisenhower. No more war along with full employment. No welfare for the poor or the rich.

    It can be done.

His economic advisers went to Harvard and ivy league schools. Same schools Bush's, Clinton's, and Reagan's advisers went. Where are you going to find smarter economic advisers? Are you going to the blogs? Lol!!!

    You guys are absolutely hilarious!!

Not when the sitting President is so clearly contemptuous of America's founding principles, it isn't.

Well, I believe that knowledge is disperse for one. Secondly, it doesn't matter how bright his advisers are if they aren't listened to or base their positions on false economic assumptions.

All Presidential advisers are the same who were taught in the same schools and understand the same information. The rest is just politics and how they can swing things to convince their idiot constituents to do what they want.

Every one of Reagan and Bush's advisers have come out and said that this nation needs a fiscal stimulus. They are the same ones that spent tons of money during Reagan and Bush's terms.

They understand how macroeconomics work. It is impossible to explain to uneducated people because they simply cannot comprehend it. That is where politics comes in to play.

It's difficult to discover new things. It's not that difficult to comprehend them. A good example of this is something like calculus which was discovered by one of the brightest men to have ever lived and is now taught in high school.

Additionally, economics is a soft science. It's not like we are talking particle physics here.

    Exactly!

And I know you're not going to agree here, but that is why for the sake of the USA we need Newt to win. He's done it before, he can heard the cats. Granted his own cats turned on him, but he still got things done for the good of the country.

What has Obama discovered? I don't see him producing any ground breaking research in any field.

But that doesn't really have anything to do with what I was talking about. I was just poking holes in your argument that what Obama is doing is beyond our understanding.

Most of the people here understood what Obama was trying economically would fail. So there's that. Forum people 1 Obama 0.

I don't have the resume for it.

    Yet.

    but I do have plans.

    State Legislature.

A term or two in the U.S. House.

    Governor.

    Then president.

Earliest possible would probably be 2024 when I will be 57 years old.

Latest possible would probably be 2036 when I will be 69 years old.

Wonder what the major issues will be then?

Actually I have a very good idea.

Look at the last 30 years if you want to get a feel for the next 24 or so.

If the next 24 years are like the last 30 than I will be happy! We are an incredibly spoiled country.

Lol, you have no clue if it failed or not. You give some stupid article about "negative multiplier"... that makes no sense and you still spout stupidity.

You guys are an absolute embarrassment to this country. And you think you would do better than Obama??? Hahahahahahahaha. You'd have a better chance getting on Saturday Night Live than getting in the White House! Please make me laugh some more puppet!

If any of your previous posts are anything to go by, you wouldn't even make it to the Oblong Office in The Black House.

    Heh, well....

It's funny, when you are talking about how people can't comprehend such complex things I have to wonder if you are just projecting. That might be something for you to ponder a bit.
