how to delete personal info from MS starter files?

example, right click a MS starter file, click properties, click details, you can see the author's info.

I assume you're talking about Microsoft Office Starter that comes preloaded on many PCs. Check out Microsoft's Document Inspector for stripping out any personal or sensitive information from Office documents.

I doubt you can remove everything. There's a reason they include all of that data. If you don't want it, I suggest you find another word processor program.

Use LibreOffice instead. It's free, and will read and write MS office formats.

If you are afraid to have your name attached to your document,

then you could use the old cut & paste method of document creation.

If you only want a word processor without the office suite functions then try AbiWord - http://www.abiword.org/
