    Evidence of this contact?

BTW, a UFO is an unidentified flying object. That doesn't mean it's a flying saucer.

Secondly, an alternative for space aliens are time travellers; people from Earth visiting from the distant future.

    And you know this, How?

That is what I mean by human ignorance.

For all you know Dolphins are Philosophers and Apes have figured out what God is.

There's a human tool call "Science", but you are free to disagree.

If whales always communicate a certain sound whenever a shark or orca is around, it doesn't take much thought to draw a correlation between that sound and the threat of a predator. Using that as a hypothesis, the sound could be recorded and used in experiments on whales, including calves, to verify its meaning and also to test if it is innate or learned.

I'm well caught up. Dark matter is not established fact. It is a theory at best and supported by no observation or measurement at all. It is only there to attempt to fix some math that doesn't work with what is observed and measured. It is a calculated phenomenon - not necessarily a real one. Nothing has been measured beyond the speed of light. Man's understanding of the universe is far from settled. I'll stay with Einstein until they prove he was wrong.

The things you are saying are nonsensical. Fermi's paradox makes no statement that can be deemed "false" or "true". I did not say Fermi was wrong. I said the paradox he proposed is not a paradox at all. And one does not need proof of aliens to determine this, as one does not have to negate a universal statent to debunk the paradox.

So what you are saying is gibberish.

That would be a start....perhaps you should do it and hopefully someday you can understand a small fraction of their language. Now, what about Apes, birds, aliens and computers?

That is, of course, utter nonsense, and it is supported by both observation and measurement. Where do you get this nonsense?

From a PHD physicist that is friend of mine. How do you measure something that you can't see or sense in any way? You calculate its existence.

I don't know! But that doesn't apply to dark energy or matter, as we can "sense" and measure their gravitational effect.

They are measuring the gravitational effect of a calculated phenomenon. They don't know what it is. They created dark matter as a fix for the math. It may exist but it is itself less logical than the possibility that we don't fully understand gravity. An invisible mass is not logical. Is mass a requirement for gravity? So far it is. That could be wrong but it is better understood physics than an invisible and undetectable mass.

You can accept what you like but don't try to convince me that it is fact. I know better. I also know that most of how the universe works is a mystery to current science. Stand by. Science may figure it all out over time.

That is not the same thing as what you said. They don't know what it is, but they know it is there, by directly measuring its gravity.

Measuring the gravity of an object is no less a direct observation than is measuring the light that bounces off of it, or measuring the heat it emits

Yes, our knowledge about dark energy and dark matter is mostly theoretical, but the results are easy to see. Something is causing the Universe to accelerate in its expansion. Something is giving the Universe more mass than what we can see. Just because we don't fully understand the mechanism or the cause, doesn't change the observations.

Apes and birds, yes. There isn't any evidence aliens exist. As for computers, obviously there are many who understand and program computers. Are you seriously denying that those engaged in comparative psychology don't have an inkling on how animals communicate?

Correct. And "dark energy" and "dark matter" are just monikers that may turn out to be misnomers.

What I have been presenting is that we do not and cannot know what to even look for as far as alien communications. anymore than we understand the mind of a dolphin. These creatures could be using x-ray, laser, subspace, untrasound, tasmatic slurping...we simply have no idea what to even look/listen/feel for.

They are, indeed, place-holders. Regardless, are you denying that the mass of the Universe is greater than visible matter? Are you denying that the Universe's expansion is accelerating for unknown reasons?

While that is a valid idea, if you were an advanced civilization attempting to contact a stone age tribe would you be attempting to communicate with them via radio? The Internet? Or something simpler like smoke signals, a physical message or an emissary?

Interesting question...Likely I would send a probe and wait due to disinterest. Obviously I would know they were stone age and existed so I somehow had the means to look.

I agree communication would be a challenge but their only so many possibilities and they need to gone over again and again until we recognize it...no one suspected giraffes communicated by vocalization, they do but in sound waves below our ability to hear...

dolphins, researchers can now recognize sentences in their clicky squeaky language, researchers also now know individual dolphins have names?...they're self aware and sentient! ...we have another sentient being on our own planet and we still allow them to be killed!..we don't need to leave the planet to find intelligent life it's already here, maybe not us however...

Careful, now. That is not conclusive proof of sentience. Don't get me wrong, I think it comes in degrees. But my dogs also know their own names, when called, as they have been conditioned to do so, a trait we can easily replicate with a short computer algorithm.

these are not captive dolphins but wild dolphins and they're are naming themselves not responding to human given names...they're self aware...

We're using the tools we have. What, if they exist, the space aliens are doing is unknown, but if they are sufficiently advanced, then it makes sense they'd do something similar in my previous post. The laws of physics and logic do not change within the known universe.

That doesn't mean "self aware", nor does it mean dogs are not also capable of this, given their vocal limitations. Birds name their children. None of this is conclusive proof of sapience. The studies on doolphi s show that their intelligence has been vastly overrated.
