You might feel like emailing your boss that you won't be in to work today, but out here in the ROW we don't waste energy on frivolities like instant digital communication. We write our messages on flattened pieces of renewable trees like responsible people. Shut down the wasteful server farms that suck up 20% of domestic energy use!

nope, the prices are higher now as there is an overseas supply issue, no long lines or shortages here

why prices are rising, we are just now feeling the effects, thanks Trump

"Trump Forced by Oil War Into Unthinkable Push for Higher Prices"

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...l-war-into-unthinkable-push-for-higher-prices

"Donald Trump is trying to do something no U.S. president has dared to do in decades: Drive up the price of oil."

"Now, the Russia-Saudi price war and a killer pandemic have caused prices to plunge, putting Trump in the awkward position of begging those same countries to turn off the taps, even though retail gasoline will become more expensive as well. The U-turn comes as America has gone from being the top importer of oil to the top producer, aligning its interests more closely with Saudi Arabia and Russia in a shift that holds the potential to reverberate through foreign policy for years to come."

Less than the cost of shale production?

don't know, the whole world is suffering from higher fuel prices due to shortages overseas right now

we have plenty of American oil... but as we can see, that doesn't mean cheaper oil

You know it would be cheaper, but you don't know why?

    Strange.

I'm wondering why you think there would be more oil, cheaper oil now if Trump didn't intervene in the Russia Saudi price war. Did you think that through, or did you just assume slowing production then when consumption was too low to support the production is the cause of low production now?

    What makes you think that?

Demand was greatly reduced during COVID, but Russia and Saudi increased production.

Why did they do that, do you think?

How much less do you think Saudi is producing now?

if we had excess supply, then it would have been waiting for us when Covid was ending and demand increasing

if US oil will not reduce the price, I say the government not issue any more licenses to drill on federal land and the government gets into the oil drilling business, no more private drilling on federal land

Waiting where? What do you think they do with it when there's too much?

    all over

just cause demand decreases, doesn't mean the excess disapears

All over? Like in your lawn and stuff?

You realize that producers ran out of places to put it, right? You know they had to pay buyers to take it so that their employees could continue to have jobs, right?

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/business-52350082.amp

I don't think you know why Trump did what he did.

    like in refineries and stuff

what you seem to be saying is Trump was stupid, he did not need to threaten them to reduce supply as they had not where to store it according to you

The refineries that were shut down by COVID? This argument might go better for you if you knew what you were talking about. Maybe we wouldn't even be having it.

I've taken the initiative to make my posts interactive. Hidden to some, the savvy among us recognize areas of my posts that can be clicked. This action grants access to a much more lucid understanding of exactly what I'm referring to.

I'm only explaining, because someone who already knew this would not have made such a novice mistake.

you're right, sorry, just assumed more of the right wing nonsense, agree with your link

this had nothing to do with Trump or Biden, but was a result of Covid

We could all do better identifying nonsense in our own position before assuming it in others.

Myself included, as some of my earlier ironic posts suggest.
