Well, they punted last December when they didn’t respond to Smith’s request to take it, they punted in February when they finally decided two months later they would hear the case but scheduled hearings two months later, and punted again this week indicating no quick decision will be for coming and in all likely won’t render a decision in June in lieu of bouncing it back to the lower courts

In comparison, the Colorado ballot question was delivered, heard, and decided upon within a month and half. As has been said, the SCOTUS might as well take up residence in MaraLago
