So I there was an incident in a shop I was just at. For some reason certain individuals form a single line between two tills then filter off to pay for Thier items when a till becomes available.

This is uncommon in my county, a unique phenomenon to this shop, there are no markings to indicate why people insist on doing this.

Don't know why it happens, it always causes arguments and the people who form lines this unusual way seem to aggressively police it.

I find it bizarre and frustrating, when there is a random customer trying to police lines this way.

There is usually a 50/50 split in the shop, between people trying to police a single line and people following the ordinary procedures of forming lines behind individual tills.

Today there was a clash between a man and women in their mud 40s.

The women was policing the single line style where's the man automatically filtered off and started lining to behind one of the tills.

She aggressively told him to get to the back of the line, the confused man apologised and went behind her.

Then he asked her " which till are you going to ?"

The women's reply "Whichever one is quickest".

The guy replies " if you're not going to choose, I am !"

Then provided to filter off into a line behind one of the tills.

The women ups the level of aggression in the verbal confrontation, A few words exchanged between the two. The man becomes annoyed and matches the aggression also (not physically aggressive just aggressive in his posture and words ) , tells her to go F herself, e.t.c.

She's super upset. All the shop workers are concerned for her. She rings the police, saying she she's scared, if fearful of being attacked e.t.c..

I observe and feel zero concern or empathy for her.

    Why I think I'm.a feminist...

    1. I did not care to defend her or stand up for her. I would have only been doing so because she's a women, because patriarch tells me women are week and need to be defended.

I choose to not stand up for her and defuse the situation because I actually agreed with the man.

    2. I also consistently said to myself. How would I react if this was two men?

The answer was I would simply let them settle their differences man to man.

Perhaps if it becomes viliolent and one man was getting smashed up badly I'd step in and break up the fight.

But I'd simply observe and watch the violence , unless it become too much.

So yeah I think I'm definitely a feminist. I could have easily defused the situation but I allowed it to play out because I saw both parties as equals.

I even informed the security guards and police (when they arrived), that the distressed women in a ball of tears was just as much to blame as the male and it was simply a heated dispute over lines.

Feminism allowed me to see the situation objectively. I'd like to think that my feminism also stopped the man from getting arrested today as he was allowed to leave the scene after my statement.

Lots anti feminist around pandering to this women, making out she's a victim , siding with her because she's upset and a women, not seeing the man and women as equals , wanting the man arrested for matching her aggression e.t.c.

So definitely change is still needed.

What I love about being a feminist is I don't have to show any chivalry, give women special treatment, any courtesies whatsoever.

Also after becoming a feminist I no longer automatically give women respect just because they are a women. They now have to earn my respect just as any man needs to earn it.

I basically treat women as I would other men , with zero special treatment. It's quite refreshing!

Women tend to sometimes get annoyed by not being giving these sexist privileges, but that's okay.

I'm just one man doing my bit and being the positive change. The world will catch up soon enough!

Yes, we need people to GET A GRIP.

And, no, it wasn't feminism that you experienced.

If you carry this out, it does seem like you might be suggesting that the problem with congress is that it is chock full of old white guys.

Your comment literally makes no sense. Do you mind giving it another go please and make it clear what point you're attempting to make.

Thank you. I look forward to your reply.
