    You said you could choose who you were attracted to — that your attraction was a choice. I have been with my partner for years and I have never had to choose to be attracted to him. I have found many others attractive but lacked chemistry or shared interests so calling me shallow doesn’t quite fit with that or looks would have been the only determining factor.

    Does your wife know you chose to be attracted to her and it didn’t come automatically?

    What do you mean you have to choose to see it? See what? That there is more to attraction than lust? Of course there is, that's true no matter how shallow you are.
