I'd say it was a pretty good week for Democrats

The Democrats pushed through a last hurrah in spite of it being judged as a lemon by the CBO.

I suspect that a tax decrease initiative will be on the platform in 2024.

Meanwhile, several small businesses will bite the dust so that Walmart and others can increase their market share.

The Democrats have their marching orders from Corporate, Legal Association, and Hedge Fund Lobby donors. Everyone else can pound sand...

Are you saying that the CBO called this a true inflation fighting package?

Even Bernie Sanders admitted on the Senate floor that it did next nothing to reduce inflation.

JOE BIDEN AND THE DEM’S GESTAPO TAX COLLECTORS: Holy Crapo Amendment! Dems Reject Middle Class Protection from Doubled IRS.

"In rejecting the Crapo Amendment, Democrats tacitly admitted that their new nuclear-strength IRS has just one job: To wage war on everyone but their rich" privileged gentry "buddies."

Remember, if you are poor/working/middle class the expect you to kowtow and if you don't they hate you.

You get their disdain or their hatred, you do not get their friendship. They view you as lesser.

"It was a crazy weekend getting Presidentish Joe Biden’s massive Tax & Spend & Regulate bill* through the 50/50 Senate. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) suspended COVID-19 testing rules and kept his superspreader voting event going all hours to ensure passage of the $700 billion boondoggle. But when asked to include IRS protections for the poor and the middle class, Schumer and every other Democrat voted NO."

Good for Crapo for yanking their pants down.

"Biden famously — or infamously — promised not to raise taxes on anyone making less than $400,000 a year, which in Democrat-dominated enclaves like San Francisco is barely enough to afford a middle-class lifestyle."

"raises taxes and will give the IRS billions to go into what the Wall Street Journal called “beast mode.”'

"Already, the “IRS audits the poor at 5 times the rate of everyone else,” says CBS News. In other words, the IRS audits those who can least afford a tax lawyer’s help, so they just pay up. The Crapo Amendment was meant to make sure that the poor and middle class wouldn’t feel the brunt of Biden’s Godzilla tax collection agency. But Dems know who butters their toast, don’t they?"

"87,000 IRS agents will be hired with $80 billion taxpayer dollars when the Senate Reconciliation bill passes this weekend. And they’re buying more guns & ammo too. Lower to middle income Americans & small businesses will be the primary targets of Democrat’s new IRS force. "

“An official report published by the Government Accountability Office said that at the end of 2017, the IRS had 4,487 guns and 5,062,006 rounds of ammunition in its weapons inventory,” says Forbes.

Over a thousand rounds per firearm. Someone plans on doing a lot of shooting.

'“The money allocated to the IRS,” Joseph Simonson reports, “would increase the agency’s budget by more than 600 percent.”"

But YOUR budget? Shrunk by the rate of Biden/Dem inflation.

You have to make up imaginary things in order to feel like it was a good week?

I'm glad veterans were able to intimidate Republicans and make them fold on their opposition to helping burn pit victims, and that their kowtowing to Big Pharma has also been thwarted by the bill that will help the poor with Rx costs. Now, if Americans can stop the authoritarian GOP from slashing personal freedom as they seize control of wombs.

You can fantasize that Democrats would be celebrating if the Inflation Reduction Act had failed, including its provisions to reduce the national deficit., but, it was a good week for Democrats

Rule of thumb whatever the act is called it does the opposite of that. It was a bad week for Democrats. Giving money to stupid causes won't reduce inflation.

They have a long history of racism.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1924_Democratic_National_Convention
Even in 1924 the resolution to renounce the kkk barely passed. That means even then there was a large majority of kkk supporters in the democrat party. Democrats use/used race for political power and its horrible because of how divisive it is and who it hurts.

Democrats don't want to admit their party was racist and so instead of renouncing the party name and implementing a unifying name, they just pretend it that the democrat party had nothing to do with it.

If we were honest it would be the inflation increase act.

The cause of this problem is government stupidity more government stupidity won't fix it.

It takes effect after November. So it's just a campaign tactic

Disregarding the economic illiteracy of calling it "Biden's inflation," you do realize that higher employment almost always means higher inflation . . . right?

Throw a recession like Trump had to deal with into the middle of Biden's and you'd get the Great Depression on steroids.

I'm sorry that you think Econ 101 is garbage. But I'd expect as much from a Trump supporter. Let me know when you are actually capable of discussing the topic. I won't hold my breath. There's no way I would survive that.

Because those who Dem's claim to care about want the climate to get worse, drug costs for Medicare patients to go higher, Don's tax cuts for rich to stay in place, deficits to go higher?

I can see through sales pitches and see the actual product. If $6 per gallon a good price or were we conditioned to see it as a low price by comparison? Are the people dems claim to care about actually better off? Results speak for themselves.

Interesting. Living in your parties petri dish, I could not tell that dems were trying to make life better for the poor or clean up the environment. Results show the opposite. Neither party gives a damn about deficits.

Yep! Because lower and middle class people make more than $400K a year. And even though the law doesn't say that, Trump does. So there!
