Atlanta radio station 790 The Zones Mayhem in the AM hosts Steak Shapiro, Nick Cellini and Chris Dimino were fired on Tuesday, after the show aired a segment mocking former Saints captain Steve Gleason. Gleason, who has ALS, wrote Peter Kings Monday Morning Quarterback column using technology that allows him to communicate only by moving his eyes. But it didn't stop these jerks. However while they were fired there are morons screaming this is a free speech issue. Let me be clear, unless the police come and arrest them for what they said it is not a free speech issue, plain and simple. Freedom of speech is not about being free of repercussions from anyone other than the government. Sadly these guys will get jobs in radio and may even play the victim card. But the bottom line is that they are going to be are always going to be known by many as the guys who made fun of a dying man. But what is worse is so many are so ignorant of the meaning of their rights they seem them as some how losing Constitutional protection. Sad.
I saw this on the news earlier. If that poor guy was my dad or brother, these puke faced (*)(*)(*)(*)s would be eating farina through a straw the rest of their lives.
