LOL...I have to admit that the incessant diving and calling for fouls with the slightest amount of contact is rather pedantic. I'm not necessarily against Rugby code football, but the Association code just has more appeal to me. Just imagine how hard it would have been back in the early days of football when there were clubs playing Rugby code playing against Association code clubs...what a mess of confusion that would have been.

If I had to move to another country, I would move to either Australia or New Zealand. Both are welfare states where healthcare is free to citizens (except through taxation) and both nations speak English, which is the only language I can speak. I couldn't live in England because the housing market is expensive, living conditions are cramped, and the weather is always gloomy. Australia, from what I understand, has a nice climate.

Come to Colorado! You won't need a snow shovel here, either, thanks to whatever it is that has totally screwed up the weather patterns.

Seriously, there's a big difference between visiting some place and moving there. Japan would be interesting to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there unless you were quite wealthy.

If Obama is re-elected, I'm considering leasing a place in an American compound somewhere in a friendly country in Central America. I know a couple of people who retired down there in Costa Rica and they say they'll never come back to the States, whether we get rid of President Messiah or not! It sounds better and better all the time....

New Zealand for the quiet life, decent people and amazing geography.
Denmark for the vibrant music scene and stunning Nordic women.
Poland because that's where my parents are from. And the stunning Polish women...

My wife and I are headed for early retirement in the next four years or so. We plan to spend some time in a country (or countries) other than Australia.

New Zealand is high in the list as is northern Italy around Lake Como and northern Thailand around Chiang Mai.

We get up to Chiang Mai a couple of times a year for a get away. Quite a few Aussie retirees there. Wonderful people up there and our retirement dollars will go a long way.

I'd say Wellington NZ. If I had to live outside the UK. I expect there are better cities but I only like to comment on cities I've actually been too.

We live and work in foreign country. We've been here for nearly six years and have enjoyed the experience a lot. Another four to five years will see us out and then early retirement.

We'll head back to Australia but travel for a few years is on the cards with Australia as a base. My wife and I have discussed what our options are. Europe is the first choice,, possibly some time in northern Italy around the lake Como region. New Zealand and northern Thailand are also attractive.

Tasmania looks pretty attarctive to me but I will have to do a little more research.

I saw a nature show on it and was impressed. It may get a little cold for my old bones however.

Tasmania is lovely, especially in summer. It can get bloody cold in winter and has some of the wettest weather in Australia. The countryside is also very English.

If you fish,, Tasmania has some of the best wild trout fisheries in the world.

I would move to Sealand, the world's smallest country.

The Principality of Sealand is located on HM Fort Roughs, a former Second World War Maunsell Sea Fort in the North Sea 7 nmi off the coast of Suffolk, England.

The country is 5,900 sq ft in size, which makes it almost a thousand times smaller than the second smalelst country, the Vatican. It has a population of 27.

Sealand is a constitutional monarchy, with its ruling monarchy being the House of Bates. Sealand was ruled by Prince Roy between 1967 and his death in October 2012 at the age of 91 and was suceeded by his son Prince Michael. Prince Roy's widow is Princess Joan. Prince Michael has two children from his previous marriage - Prince James and Prince Liam.

Sealand has its own currency - the Sealand dollar, begged with the $US - and stamps. It has its own flag and national anthem and passports. The anthem was composed by Londoner Basil Simonenko; being an instrumental anthem, it does not have lyrics (like the Spanish anthem).

Sealand's motto - E Mare Libertas (From the Sea, Freedom) - appears on its coins, stamps, passports and is the name of the national anthem.

Sealand's constitution was composed by Alexander Gottfried Achenbach, who was installed by Roy of Sealand as Prime Minister and Chairman of the Privy Council for life, positions which he still holds.

Sealand even has its own national fottball team. It is not a member of FIFA or UEFA, but is an associate member of the NF-Board, an organisation for teams who are not members of FIFA. They were admitted to the N.F.-Board as a provisional member in 2005 and as an associate member in 2006.

The Sealand National Football Association (SNFA) was founded in 2003. In 2004, they played their first game against Åland drawing 2–2.[2] All the players on the Sealand team were members of Vestbjerg Vintage Idrætsforening, a veterans side from Aalborg. However, the Danish-based SNFA ended their activities in 2006 and Sealand football took a break.

On 23 December 2009, Scottish author Neil Forsyth was appointed head of the revived SNFA.[3] He stated a goal of participation in the 2010 VIVA World Cup, a dream ultimately ended by a lack of finance.

On 5 May 2012, Sealand took to the field against fellow N.F.-Board members the Chagos Islands at Weycourt in Godalming, Surrey, for the inaugural Godalming International Tournament. The Chagossians won 3-1, with Ryan Moore scoring for Sealand. The team was captained by former Bolton Wanderers defender Simon Charlton and also included actor Ralf Little.[3][4][5]

Sealand played an away game against Alderney on August 25, 2012.[6] After drawing the match by a scoreline of 1-1, Sealand won 5-4 on penalties. Darryl Moore's equalising goal meant Sealand maintained their record of scoring in every international match they have played. On 1 September 2012, Sealand entered the official non-FIFA rankings for the first time, in 55th place.[7] On March 9, 2013 Sealand won their first ever international when they beat Alderney 2-1 in Godalming, with Ryan Moore becoming the principality's record goalscorer in the process.

Sealand competed in the Tynwald Hill International Football Tournament on the Isle of Man in July 2013. The tournament was held at Mullen-e-Cloie, St John's. Following a late 5-3 defeat to Tamil Eelam and an 8-0 demolition at the hands of eventual winners Occitania, Sealand finished bottom of their group and went on to the 5th place playoff where they beat Alderney 2-1.

Sealand's top scorer and Ryan Moore and Sam Churchman, each with two goals.

Why would you want to go to Japan? The Japanese are xenophobic and dont allow immigrants-thats why about 98% of the population is ethnically Japanese.

I lived in 3 countries all my life and for the first time moved to Canada for 3 months just last year. I don't think I could handle staying permanently outside of Europe to be honest. But I want to continue living for a few months outside my continent, whenever budget and time allows that.

I don't think there is any other country I would rather live in. I would like to travel the world and see EVERYTHING though. :)

If I was to move elsewhere, it would have to be a warm climate though. I admit, I am sick and tired of snow and winter weather. Lol.

lol what are you talking about our accent is totally normal, its yanks with the strange accent ;). Then theres that ghetto speak you guys have- no idea what that language even is.

But for me it would have to be somewhere in Europe: UK, Ireland, Germany perhaps certain parts of France. So much culture and history plus its the ground my ancestors lived.

My eternal wish is to live somewhere with a view of the ocean. As that is financially prohibitive in most of the western USA, that leaves Baja California. So, that's where I want to move.
