At what stage will our governments stop using Police as babysitters? If a person chooses to take drugs at a music festival, or in any other place...ok.. let them take the drugs, let them inject themselves with poison, or take pills...if you die...too bad... No one is breath tested as they leave a pub after a nite on the piss No one is stopped by lifeguards or the like at dusk and warned not to swim in the ocean because you might be attacked by sharks. No one stops people from playing body contact sports, saying you might get hurt... No-one stops people from riding motor bikes... Why bother with drug users... If you want to take the risk of dying because of the drugs that are in your system, then take the drugs...if you die....too bad. Why should the Police and all of us get our collective knickers in a knot because someone wants to risk their lives by taking drugs.... Who cares.....I dont..... We have drug education in the schools, drug education on television, drug education on the internet, and children are told not to take drugs by their parents even though only a percentage of parents are competent these days.... How deceitful are teenagers when asked by parents about drugs at a festival... "Were there any drugs there honey.." "Yes mum, but we didnt take any, they offered us some, but we didnt take them..." Yeah right...... The education against drugs, and the legislation which allows drug dealers, importers, growers etc to be arrested should remain, the penalties should be increased to mandatory sentencing No-one has a responsibility to stop drug takers at a festival...no-one.... ......and if the drug users continue to take drugs..... Too bad....
Another group of doctors has thrown its support behind pill testing, writing to state and territory leaders claiming there is enough evidence it can help to warrant a trial. The Royal Australasian College of Physicians, which represents more than 17,000 physicians and paediatricians, has sent an open letter to NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian and her counterparts urging them to follow the lead of the ACT. "The RACP's experts in addiction medicine and public health medicine believe the evidence currently available justifies the introduction of carefully designed pill testing trials in Australia," Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones said today. "Ideally, we would all like young people and the wider public not to use drugs illicitly, however, the reality is that they do in large numbers and the moral message to abstain from taking drugs is not getting through." They now join the Australian Medical Association and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, who are also urging governments to adopt pill testing. Well, why stop at pill testing...why not get the Police to create a taxi service and drive the drug affected patrons home...and then tuck them into bed with a glass of milk, maybe.....
Well, is this topic too hard...or does everyone, due to their silence, agree..... No-one seems to have posted comments of disagreement...let me check........ No......no-one.......... Taking drugs is like the golfer on the 8th tee about to tackle a tee shot which calls for a golfer with a brain to hit an iron just down there for safety instead of using the driver over a long water carry..... Our mate says "fuk it" reaches for the driver and carves it into the piss..... Attitude...thats all it is...attitude.......... Our mate at the music festival is offered a pill.....he/she knows not to take it.... he/she looks around, everyone else is taking it......he/she doesnt think for a second that he/she might be dead tomorrow..so he/she takes the pill.....In other words........ He/she says "fuk it".......... Someone said to me the other day..... "If Jesus came back tomorrow, no millenial would see him....theyd all be staring at their fukin phones..." Perhaps our millenials, collectively, have been dumbed down for so long...... They just say....... "fuk it....." Aaaah well...what would I know........
