That's an interesting question. It would have to come down to the way the person conducted themselves. If they can effectively do their job, and not give me the impression that believing in creationist nonsense would adversely affect what I'm paying them to do, I see no problem with it. If they were fanatical about it, to the point that it's actually changing the way they are able to perform professionally, then obviously I would have to decline.

Basically, I wouldn't decline to hire those people as a rule, I'd probably play it by ear.

If I were in a position to pick and choose from a lot of job candidates, i would never get down the list to the 3rd or 4th tier institutions like those.

Why would a capable student deliberately choose a poor school? What does it say about them if they do?

Same as the top law firms dont bother to interview people from, say, U of Maine.

To the extent that the question is about whether the person could competently perform certain assigned tasks regardless of the religion, I dont think I'd care if they were creationists or scientologists or left handed lesbians. Its irrelevant.

For something biology-related? No. They would be more than welcome in the mail room or IT or something.

Hmmm...probably not, but depending on the current make up of my staff and my assessment of the applicant, I'm just idiosyncratic enough to hire someone like that to bring in a different perspective.
