Bachmann is a total shill, but she made a good point that if we start a totally new taxing system it may never be able to be changed and we could be stuck with VAT's in the long run resulting into a quagmire.

the problem I'm having with all the candidates especially my favorites Paul and Cain, is that Paul wants to End the Fed but offered no replacement taxing structure and Cain offered a taxing structure but wanted to KEEP the Fed.

We can't have it both ways. I say do away with the Fed but also figure out a better taxing structure than 999 becase I can see this type of taxing structure being abused by the Government AND the Fed, because the Fed is not gonna go away so easy. We'll have to force them out of America.

Any tax structure will be / has been, abused by government. Have you looked at your phone bill, electric bill, etc. I bought a flat panel TV for $105, and had to pay a $15 "recycling" fee - yeah, that will go directly to the recycling center......

Californian's pay 9% in state income taxes, or about $100B - local government in CA costs $500B, but try to find out how that money is collected, and what it is spent on.

Do you like Obama better? Or the Libertarian.

Unless the Republican's keep the house and get 60+ in the senate, the President won't have much power. Obummer had total control (at least on paper). His health care bill was held up by his own party.

Yeah, let's politicize our monetary policy and end the institution that oversaw the vast growth of our economy to first place status.

Good idea. Bankers -- bad, bad.
