    Hi again, Bluesguy.

Time and again, by poster after poster, the statement has been made that the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is an inviolate right. If the posts are correct, any 'what if's' which begin with the repeal of the law are purest fantasy. My crystal ball's presently out for servicing.

Meanwhile, the deaths by gunshot in this country continue. The best this poor old country mouse can do as a single citizen is to try to make people, including our politicians, aware of the magnitude of the ongoing tragedy.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.

lol, a few people with a chl charged with a crime makes all chl holders bad? Funny, I noticed that train wreck of a site profiles one guy but then never backs up that 37 claim. Probably because that site is full of ****.

We already know what happens when the citizenry relies on armed police to keep the peace.

"A hundred years and many gun laws later, the BBC reported online in January
that England's firearms restrictions, including its 1997 ban on handguns, "seem
to have had little impact in the criminal underworld". Guns are virtually outlawed,
and, as the old US slogan predicted, only outlaws have guns. And what is worse,
they are increasingly ready to use them.

Five centuries of growing civility ended in 1954. Violent
crime has been climbing ever since, and armed crime -
with banned handguns the weapon of choice - is now
described as "rocketing". In the two years following the
ban, the use of handguns in crime rose by 40 per cent.
From April to November 2001 the number of people
robbed at gunpoint in London rose 53 per cent.

In the course of a few days last summer, gun-toting
men burst into a court and freed two defendants; a
shooting outside a London nightclub left five women
and three men wounded; and two men were
machine-gunned to death in a residential
neighbourhood of north London. On New Year's Day,
FINANCIAL TIMES, 2002, a 19-year-old girl walking on a main street in east London was shot in the head by a thief after her mobile phone.

That guy doesn’t know anything of which he talks about anyway. I don’t post in his threads because it’s not worth it. The guy tells you that you go off topic or some other lame excuse to avoid tough replies. I wouldn’t say ignore him because I don’t believe in that. But I just mentally block him out

Quoting your own data challenged activist source? What does the real data say? Crime fell in England and Wales after handguns were banned in 1997:

"There has been a 25 per cent fall in crime measured by the BCS in the five years between 1997 and 2002/03..... BCS violence has fallen by 24 per cent since 1997..... There has been a 39 per cent fall in burglary since 1997.... Vehicle-related theft has fallen by 31 per cent since 1997.... Between 1997 and the 2002/03 interviews there was a 38 per cent fall in domestic violence, and a 42 per cent fall in acquaintance violence."

    The Inconvenient Truth:

"England and Wales have the highest crime rate among the world's leading economies, according to a new report by the United Nations.

The survey, which is likely to prove embarrassing to David Blunkett, the Home Secretary. shows that people are more likely to be mugged, burgled, robbed or assaulted here than in America, Germany, Russia, South Africa or any other of the world's 20 largest nations."
The Daily Telegraph, England has worst crime rate in world, By David Bamber, 12/1/2002.

You have a really good point. I regularly see him fabricate things or misquote people, then blame the person he maligned. There's not a drop of logic in any of those threads. I can see why he's roundly ignored, I wonder of the paid shill bit is true.

Well I don't think we people including our politicians have been holding our breaths waiting for you tell us about crime in this country. Certainly on this board we have discussed it for years and years. The key word being discussed.

You proclaimed we should end our right to self defense as guarantied by the 2nd amendment yet refuse to discuss what would be the ramifications of doing so. You did not think that part through before you stated your position?

Hi yet again ... and again ... and again.

Self defense can be achieved by means other than guns. As I may have stated in the past, I see no reason to maintain a means of self-defense against an intruder in my home. I have difficulty in understanding the level of fear that prompts people to keep firearms in the home for that purpose.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

How comforting for you to be able to deny reality so easily simply because you don't like it.

I know a 15%er BS story when I see it. So does everyone else.
Which is why you are the only one around here trying to make that fake claim.
Most don't want to be embarrased by regurgitating that debunked tripe, but not you.
So carry on. Its those left over 15%ers who continue to show independents why they should vote Republican.
    We do appreciate it.

Let me get this straight. You live your life in constant fear, avoid "gun free zones" and belive everyone should carry a gun,

So you think your article proves a point that everyone should have a gun? How do you jump to that conclusion? Not with logic, that's for sure.

Considering that criminal are the ones committing all crime including gun violence, then logic would have it, people are the problem and not the firearm.. Simple logic really, a criminal will always find a firearm, and a criminal will always commit crimes, including murders..

Clearly the primer of your argument/message falls short of the reality you are trying to make people aware of ;)

    Situational at best!
Do you find relevance in "Meet force with equal or greater force"
Legal Rules For Self Defense With Weapons: "Disparity Of Force" (warriorlife.com)

Until you can disarm criminal them it's only logical to allow the victim to be equal in force to defend.. Really not that hard of a concept!

The public record proves that professional law enforcement cannot keep the peace, and that violent crime including gun crime soared after the public was disarmed.Everyone should be allowed to carry a concealed handgun.
When half the people choose to carry guns violent criminals will be as afraid of an armed general public as the fans of authoritarian government.
