So much for the Internet forgetting about the Biden Stuttering Meme.

Apparently, some people feel that mocking people with speech impediments is "funny"?:smh:

Uncle Joe really gave the Reddit/4chan Meme Makers a Christmas Gift.

I have already pegged the Over/Under at 1,000,000 as to how many Anti-Biden Memes will be created using that "I-I-I-I-I-I-I" thing (to mock Joe).

    I am taking the OVER.

Anyway, back to the OP, the "insiders" (and the creator of the OP) were obviously wrong (on this one).:flagus:

    I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I - I believe the LW had best grow thicker skin. Who was it that said “That which does not kill us makes us stronger”?

Trump was not killed, and is much stronger now.

    Good luck :D

I say Mitch set up the trial to start on X date, and begin then whether or not Nancy shows up.

    ZERO Chance of that happening.

In fact, Mitch doesn't even have the Constitutional Power to even attempt such a thing.

Apparently you are not aware that there is nothing in the Constitution about when the Senate starts the trial or that the Senate has to wait for the articles to be delivered or anything about managers.

He should just do it and let Pelosi tie it up in the courts for years. The dingbat is just poking the bear so it will be more painful for them when it does reach the Senate.

If they aren't officially delivered, there is no trial. The House has the sole power of impeachment. The Senate has the sole power to try impeachment. No articles formally presented to the Senate = no trial.

And no articles presented to the Senate, no impeachment, next.

LOL, They have been publicly published. Are you of the opinion that no one has received them?

A trial of the president can't begin in the Senate until it receives the abuse of power and obstruction measures passed by the House on Wednesday.

Oh...they're aware of them. McConnell has presumably discussed them with the White House lawyers. But, being "aware" and being "officially informed" are two separate things...just as impeachment is not the trial on impeachment to remove the President from office.

You mean the impeachment was not official? Fascinating.

No...no trial on impeachment and no verdict on removal from office. The "impeachment" is a done deal.

Nothing like the dem clown show making themselves look like, well clowns. After saying they couldn't follow process and had to rush this through because it was a 'dire national emergency' they now sit on their hands.

Impeachment on the articles passed by the House is finished. The transmittal of the articles to the Senate for trial is TBD.

You are correct... but it is in the rules of the Senate, approved in 1986..

But, nothing that says McConnell cannot try to get those changed.... it's not like he's not unfamiliar with the concept, which is why the turtle must be made extinct in America...

Nothing in the Constitution about that. Maybe back before the internet and it had to be delivered in person but times have changed.

McConnell can change the rules, just like the dem clown show did in the House.

Internet notwithstanding, I'd be relatively certain that there are jointly agreed to "rules" on formal communications between the House and the Senate. The Constitution gives the House the sole power of impeachment. The Senate has the sole power to try an impeachment. But there is no Senate power to begin an impeachment trial without formal notification from the House.

Still nothing in the Constitution on that but hey, the dems are all following the Constitution. You may not be aware that the House does not make the rules for the Senate.
