We are told that gender is fluid, and that sex, gender identity, and sexual proclivity vary independently. Since I am a mid 20s male, I am rated differently than a female driver here in Ontario, and as a result pay almost double the insurance premium. For that reason I have decided that I now identify as female, and am changing my drivers license using Ontario's new X gender option. This will allow me to appeal to my insurance company to have my policy re-rated for a female driver, as I have decided that whilst I am operating a motor vehicle, I identify as a female. After a couple of minutes I received this response. To which I responded with: And finally received: It looks like it should be pretty smooth sailing. If they argue with me or question my gender identity, they would be in breach of Bill C16 which asserts that gender identity is fluid. My lawyer is on standby if they give me any push back.
