For Putin, Trump is merely a useful idiot. He stirs up hate and keeps America divided. Trump has been very effective in creating mistrust in America's institutions and media. Naturally, Putin wants to keep Trump in office or even ensure Bernie gets elected. Bernie and Trump are equally divisive. Putin got a twofer.

Trump now believes in the "deep state" and the "free press is enemy of the people." His supporters do too. Putin's goal now is to keep Americans angry and divided. Trump and his followers are doing a magnificent job for Putin in that regard.

Trump's followers should get at least one thing straight, Putin wants to reconstruct the USSR, I know because he said so. So what's stopping him? NATO, its liberal democracies, and the United States. For now.
