    https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/30/politics/house-intelligence-committee-impeachment-report/index.html

The report is one of the final steps for the Intelligence Committee. The report is scheduled to be voted upon Tuesday at 6 pm and, if approved, will get sent to the Judiciary Committee. That committee will hold it's first hearing Wednesday to hear from a group of constitutional experts who aim to help define impeachable offense. Trump’s counsel has also been invited to attend and participate in the hearing. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) gave Trump until Dec. 6 to indicate whether he planned to participate but the White House has yet to do so

I still hold out some hope that the report - which might include additional information like those contained in those recordings given to the Committee by Parnas - will earn at least one Republican vote, *coughWillHurdcough*

But it is also entirely possible that Republicans on the Intelligence Committee will continue to present a united front for this "procedural" vote and wait for the final vote to reveal their true views on Impeachment, like GOP Rep Francis Rooney suggested is the case for those Republicans who wish to avoid the spying, ambushing, and smearing from Republican Leadership that he experienced.

Wow, I didn't know they'd have actual product out that early... Some poor staffers were busy over the break.

The report will come out of Intel on purely party lines (sorry, no Will Hurd yet)...I don't suppose the report will have any importance in the 12/4 hearing, if they don't get it until Tuesday evening.

Also, Trump has until 6pm TODAY to indicate if he is going to participate in the 12/4 general hearing. He has until 12/6 to indicate if he plans on participating in anything the Judiciary does after that original hearing... as I understand it...

Trump won't bother sending anybody to participate in that 12/4 kickoff hearing, but I don't see how he can avoid participating in the rest of it...

Of course, by participating, I mean sending his minions out while he cowers behind his TV...

This is a better summary of the 2 deadlines than I gave

    https://news.yahoo.com/trump-faces-two-impeachment-deadlines-110231660.html

Also, LOL big time at this tweet from the Tweet Monster

    SNIP
“I will be representing our Country in London at NATO, while the Democrats are holding the most ridiculous Impeachment hearings in history,” he tweeted. “Read the Transcripts, NOTHING was done or said wrong! The Radical Left is undercutting our Country. Hearings scheduled on same dates as NATO!
    ENDSNIP

Like NATO is stopping him from sending a representative in there, or even funnier, indicating that NATO is stopping him from personally appearing....

    He's a gift, I tell ya...

Since they have nothing to work with why would it take more that a few hours?

The entire matter has been totally partisan and why would Trump participate in just a hearing? Will he be able to call witnesses? Is Nadler going to bring back all the previous witnesses, meaning we have to sit through all their testimony again. We know Nadler is going to get this passed why not just go to the floor and vote on the Articles. Why is it even going to judiciary at this point?

There is no need for the rush and pressure on the WH to respond to a report that has not even been released by Wednesday. Give me the reason it can't wait till next week.

Because they want this done before the IG report is released.

I thought Pelosi said impeachment must be bipartisan? The only thing bipartisan about it is the opposition to the impeachment inquiry.

This is Schiff getting it passed, not Nadler.... you are 1 committee behind...

That's the process... Intel did the investigation and Judiciary writes the articles... I doubt any of the witnesses leading to the articles will be called in at this point. Only new people will be called back, if any appear (J. Bolton)...

It appears that Nadler's going to try to work in some of the Mueller OOJ. I disagree with that concept.... Stick to the Ukraine path... it's clear and unopposed...

Why, so you can call this kangaroo court three-ring circus "bipartisan"? :D

Again, nobody is asking the WH to respond to the report until next Friday... you need to read the URL I posted.

All they want by today is a statement if somebody will appear on Wednesday.... doesn't appear anybody will, so their loss...

Much more than just my opinion.... it's a deeply interesting question, explored here

    https://www.politico.com/news/2019/11/22/impeachment-robert-mueller-072698

My thought is since there is still nothing available on the Mueller OOJ (McGahn ruling on yet another appeal plus other stuff tied up in courts), they have to let that go..... for now...

They don't even know for what they are appearing, what will be the agenda, what is the goal, who else will be there. How about giving the WH some time to prepare for the hearing why does it all have to begin next week?

Nadler Gives Trump and House Republicans His Guidelines for Participating in Impeachment Hearings

Hearings begin this week. Deadline next Friday for witnesses. No negotiations.

Why the rush? And still Nadler will assert the authority to veto witnesses.

There's a National Security threat in the WH and this is the only way to remove him before next November...

    Every day counts...

It's all spelled out in the letter of 11/26....

https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/d...-26 JN Ltr to White House.pdf?ftag=YHF4eb9d17

The WH has had all the time in the world to prepare for this... if they are incapable, that's on them, not Jerry...

Also, I believe you are misrepresenting Nadler's 2nd letter... I don't believe next Friday is the deadline for a full witness list, although I cannot see that anybody would need to go past Friday for that... It's not like there's a witness on either side we don't know about at this point.

He just wants a statement that the WH will (or will not) participate and what privileges they will exercise... Should be no biggie...

I believe Dec. 6th is next Friday and it applies to both Trump and the Republican members of his committee. It's gonna be another sham.

OH yea a couple of weeks to mount their defense against an impeachment they don't even know what are the grounds for it. Laughable. What's they hurry do you want this to go down in history as a railroad job?

Bluesguy: Democrats have nothing, so their impeachment report will be very short.
Also Bluesguy: Several months is too short of a time frame for the Trump administration to decide whether they will participate in this particular step of the impeachment proceeding.

The ability to veto witnesses is the same authority granted, and required, to the majority party ranking member by every house investigation in history.
