I am getting a special present today. The woman who cuts my hair and I have been best buddies for almost six years now. And she has been with me through all of it - all the women. She has been my biggest supporter and was sure Number One would marry me. She has been my consultant, confidant, and cheerleader. And she loves hearing about ALL the details LOL! She also happens to be the same age as Number One.

So when she decided to open her own salon and asked if I had any ideas for a name, I made a real effort to understand what she wants and come up with something. And I did. She looooooooves it. She is giving me a present today for naming her new business.

Honestly, I was just excited that I was able to help. I love her as a close friend and she loves me. But it is a great name and matches her goals exactly. She texted to tell me that she has a present for me.

 

you should help her with the start up capital, for her years of loyal service to you

 

Haha, I'm sure she would agree! But she has been saving and her new place is really nice.

 

I almost played a really mean practical joke on her husband. I know all about their marriage, him, their son, and have seen plenty of photos. And while he may know me by name, that's about it. I also know where he works, I was really tempted to stop by one day posing as a customer, and let slip a story about my love affair with my hair stylist. Slowly I would drop enough information for him to connect the dots and realize I was talking about his wife. At that point I would let him in on the joke.

I know they appreciate a good practical joke but was worried that was too much. But when I told her what had occurred to me, she was pounding me to do it! LOL!!!
