But normal Americans will simply frown at the shrillness and violence, and continue to vote against an extremest Democratic Party...

They have lost over 1,000 state and federal legislative seats, and most of the state governorships, since 2010. They have truly become a regional party that is quite extremest in their political views, and voters across the U.S. have recognized this.

I'm not sure if Trump if making decisions based on HIS bottom line; I think he's trying his best to keep his campaign promises. An honest look at Hillary, however, will show a corrupt politician usually putting her own interests in front of America's interests; her role with Russia obtaining plutonium as a way to raise cash for the Clinton Foundation should have sent her to prison for a long time. Well, just what Congressman Nagle has done---Submitted a" notice of inquiry"( not sure I have the correct terminology) to the House of Representatives---I do believe congressman Nagle has said there should be a vote on the floor of the house on Tuesday (tomorrow)--if the house votes it down,then at least we know where the GOP stands-if they vote Yes, then they can supoena trump's tax returns or any other request they list in the inquiry---

 

A congressional subpoena is a bit different from what the OP had suggested. No one at the IRS has any legal authority to unilaterally release anyone's tax returns to public scrutiny. The only reason anyone wants to see Trump's is in hopes that there will be some additional fodder for the ongoing smear campaign, which is running out of steam.

The DOJ should obtain a subpoena for transcripts of Hilary Clinton's speeches to bankers, Wall Street firms and international corporations to see if she was taking bribes directly or thru the Clinton Foundation.
