Wow!!!!! This is horrifying. I met man a couple of years ago who fled from being taken into a residential school when he was very young. He ended up surviving by living off the land in the Canadian province of Ontario. He was roughly the same age as me but he grew up under pretty scary conditions that are difficult for me to imagine.
