It's probably similar to progressives moving to conservative states in droves, looking greener pastures (or following job opportunities), but at the same time wanting to terraform their new home into being like the type of place they just left as soon as they get there. They don't seem capable of seeing how the policies they support ended up increasing costs of living and housing prices. How their policies place big burdens on companies, causing companies to relocate and often take good job opportunities with them. When they remark at the ultra low crime rate, cleanliness, and good schools out in the new places they decide to move to -- not the main reason they move, but a big added bonus -- they don't seem to be able to make the connection.

The key words here being "legal" and "labeled." Legal citizenship affords people the right to be a racist and or a Nazi. It does not preclude being identified as such.

We are slowly losing our country. Pick the flag of any country you want to wave. Pick the language you want spoken in schools. Pick the opinions you want banned on social media. Pick your gender. Pick the store you want to "legally" loot. Being illegal allows you to bring in a dozen illegal relatives. Committing a crime allows you to sue the police. Welcome everyone from any country, including rapist, drug dealers, murderers, terrorists, and common criminals. Allow anyone to occupy a tent in front of a private business downtown. Burn down a city while the media proclaims you are mostly peaceful. Tear down any public statue if it offends you. It's a long list and the one loud voice of sanity against such actions is a man named Trump. And look where it's got him.
