    This thing is deceiving.
The idea behind it is that you get more resistant to covid when taking vitamin D supplements. But that's not it.
It says that people got more trouble with dealing with their covid infection when they do not have enough vitamin D.
So it doesn't say more vitamin D is better.

It's also not about the why those people who got trouble dealing with their covid infection do not have enough vitamin D.
Say an obese person who isn't that mobile and only walks to the car and from the car to the office / store.
Among ways to get vitamin D is through sunlight, and eating fish. Those people just might fanatically avoid sunlight and hate fish.
They end up having low vitamin D levels, but it's the obese part that gets them in trouble with covid.

And so the lack of vitamin D ends up just a link to their life style choices, but not a cure.
While people think vitamin D is some kind of cure when reading it, but that's not what is being said.

If it helps defeat the infection .. indeed it is part of the cure.... but one of many cogs. Keep those D levels high during Flue Season .. its why they put it in various treatment kits that smart nations distributed to people who got Covid .. resulting in dramatic decrease in death rate.

Perhaps another reason why Covid is way more serious in the over 65 population: low Vitamin D levels.

Doubtful - that is sole case. A small cog in a large wheel. All kinds of treatment that is normally given for pneumonia was demonized by the Biden Fauci club .. which is strange, wierd and disturbing.

India you got a treatment kit if you caught Covid --- death rate 360/ million
In the USA you got Squat -- death rate 2800/ million.

In Japan -- with really good treatment kit and lots of old people -- 160/million.

There is something other than Old folks with Vit D deficiency going on here -- to account for a death rate that is times higher.

Indeed... IF... it's a total IF. All they found is that a lot of people who get in trouble with covid have low vitamin D levels. At no point does this article mention that giving vitamin D changes the chances. The article reads:
The possibility was raised that patients could have been suffering from conditions that both reduce vitamin D levels and increase vulnerability to serious illness from COVID-19, meaning the vitamin deficiency would be a symptom rather than a contributing factor in disease severity.

For instance. Obese people have a far higher chance of dying of covid. Lots of obese people have high blood pressure. Lots of obese people got diabetic like problems. Nobody has said that solving their high blood pressure and diabetic problems is going to give those people any kind of better perspective when lying around in the ICU. The exact same thing goes on with vitamin D.

For all they know these people with low vitamin D levels got those low levels BECAUSE they are overweight to obese, do not exercise and have poor life style choices in the way they eat. And that overweight part and eating propper could be the one altering the chances to survive covid while casually also getting more vitamin D who plays no roll in combatting covid.

Regardless of what the article says .. Vitimin D is a good idea for many reasons... but as the article states ..seems to be a corrolation between low levels of D and nasty effect

Obesity has nothing to do with the above question .. not sure why or how you are conflating the two other than low levels of D or Obesity gives one a higher chance of nasty effect .. hence why I say one should maintain one's Vitimin D levels.

Right, which is why I stated “another reason”, not the sole reason.

I agree with you on the rest of your post. I read about Dr. Kellogg s approach to the Spanish Flu and the treatments used to treat those patients.
Very strange, weird, no disturbing, indeed, this historical evidence was/is ignored.

Normal treatment for people who get the seasonal flue ... "Home Elixers" and some work very well .. helping your troops fend off the bad bugs. it is this second war .. good bacteria vs bad .. which is how 9 out of 10 who die from Covid .. will die. In rare instances it does something wierd .. normally .. immune system is weakened .due to viral attack .. immune system fighting that war .... which weakens the bacteria who operate in a symbiotic relationship to keep the bad bacteria at bay .. a war which you fight your whole life .. and are fighting as we speak .. 10,000 you inhaled in your last breath .. ;)

This second war you try to strenghthen your troops -- anything you can think of really .. most of it is good .. and most will not develop pneumonia...

For those that do .. now is when you get heavy handed .. anti-biotics .. standard treatment .. everyone knows lots people in grade school/high school who would often be having bronchitis/pnemonia ans so on .. .. overproscribed .. but , if it gets bad you have to take it... Standard proceedure... I never have .. not being pneumonia succeptible... but for other things .. blood poisoning/ sepsis .. had to take.

What also is a good idea is to use an anti-parasitic infection/anti-viral - anti inflamatory .. such as ivermectin .. at signs of pneumonia - specially if deep respiratory is affected.. This was another bizzare thing that was disturbing .. they way they demonized a tried and true treatment .. one with ridiculously low side effects .. in order to push a vax - experimental - one that has turned out to have a huge number of side effects .. and far nastier .. read- and have somewhere - this study from the 80's90's by WHO .. in Africa .. dispensed to 6 or 7 towns .. over 50,000 people .. side effects tracked.. All... every single one was "transient" .. some dizziness ..nauisa .. but disappeared after a short time .. not one "Serious" adverse effect ..

The risk of nasty outcome from the vax is at least an order of magnitude higher and likely more like 2 orders.

That "seems" and "correlation" is exactly my point in short. With that, it doesn't say taking vitamin D will cure you or prevent you from getting sick. It just does not. It's not like that they did an experiment by giving 1000's of people vitamin D in the hospital and see how it plays out vs people who do not get that.

I dragged in obesity to show you how there is a correlation between high blood pressure and covid as well, since obese people have that and end up dying a lot more. Curing high blood pressure will not safe anybody from dying from covid (as far as I know) With that, I showed you that a correlation doesn't mean a lot at all.

    Yup.

And I'm calling that article out exactly what they got, which is not any kind of experiment that people low on vitamin D get cured when taking vitamin D or get any kind of more protection.

It does say that Vitimin D will do some of that ... not that it is a one shot cure .. but will help.

You say that, while I have yet to see an experiment how giving Vitamine D to patients is helping them out.

All I read is that lots of patients who are really sick/dying got low Vitamine D levels. As noted before Obese people have high blood pressure and end up on getting sicker and dying more often. It doesn't mean curing that anomaly of high blood pressure leads to curing covid at all. This article seems to suggest something exactly similar with words like "seem" and "correlation" that curing 1 anomaly leads to cure covid. But it lacks actual proof.

And so it seems the usual anti-vax crowed jumps on it and goes like "see, I don't need a vax. Just a vitamine D pill... or just a bit more sunlight to keep me from drying". That deworm medication is also is anti-viral... but it doesn't do crap against covid. Plenty of people actually dewormed themselves, and got sick with the medication meant for animals. Total dejavu.

Then go look for one .. but would you know what to look for.. you don't seem to understand that a deficiency in vitamin B being correlated to folks getting sick = Vitimin B is helping the folks that do have good levels.

Then you engage in nonsensical strawman/demonization fallacy .. "And so it seems the usual anti-vax crowed jumps on it and goes like "see, I don't need a vax. Just a vitamine D pill... or just a bit more sunlight to keep me from drying".

The made up nonsense you introduced is not one of the claims on the table - and you seem not to understand that treatment involves more than one agent.

    .

You then close with unsupported nonsense and demonization fallacy .. lashing out against that which you do not understand.

It's not my claim. So it's not me who needs to look.
    And it's vitamin D.

It is what it is. At no point in the entire article does it say that people who were given vitamin D get better quicker.
I also gave the example how there is a link with high blood pressure with covid, but curing that will highly probably have no effect at all.

We had this crap before. People took hydroxychloroquine (anti-malaria) and ivermectin (deworming).
It's all part of this theme of finding any kind of alternative against the vaccination.

Excellent analysis. We KNOW vitamin D deficiency exacerbates many diseases including heart failure which is a huge risk for COVID

But instead of just looking at one study - what does ALL the research say??

    https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/10408398.2020.1841090

    Deficiency = more severe disease
    https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpubh.2021.624559/full

    There are a few more

Now lets look at what happens if you overdose

    https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-...xpert-answers/vitamin-d-toxicity/faq-20058108

Want to bet on the number of people in the “If one is good more is better” group - you know the ones wha are already overdosing on Ivermectin because they wont have the vaccine?

You already agreed that the study showed a corrolation between vitimin D deficiency and nastyness. So no need to look anything up.

What you can't seem to figure out is that this shows Vitimin D helps.

I also showed there is a correlation between high blood pressure and corona. It still doesn't mean curing high blood pressure solves the corona problem.

Didn't say otherwise - said nothing about any cure. You are making things up because your position is lost.

What was said to you is that there are many factors that can help reduce the risk of harm from covid .. Vitimin D being one of them according to the study under discussion.

Did you even read the piece? It seems the researchers actually know what they are doing. Not surprisingly you don't.

Takes a certain kind of ignorance to not comprehend the study linked in the OP.
