The standard AR Mil Spec lower reciever can accept standard Mil Spec uppers, different calibers, .300 Blackout for instance, 5.56. etc..

Some expert. You could still buy an AR-15 during the ban, but with only two cosmetic items listed in the ban installed.

Someone intent on mass murder that cannot use plan A will just move to plan B or C. I don’t think the gun banners use their brains.

Right, rimfire, handgun calibers and .223/5.56mm, 6.5G, 6.8 SPC, .224 Valkyrie, etc. Once you get to anything .308 based, it's a new receiver, and specialty lowers and uppers for long action or bigger rounds.

The one on the left is a horrible murder machine. The one on the right is not.

The AR-15 is available in several calibers that replicate the ballistics of cartridges that were utilized for the purpose of hunting buffalo during the wild west era of the united states. The .458 SOCOM, .450 Bushmaster, and .50 Beowulf, just to name a few. All perfectly legal for hunting large game. All of which are so wide, what is normally a thirty round magazine becomes a seven round magazine when housing these specific rounds.

I think that's one good reason for having a .458 SOCOM upper in the safe. Nope, these aren't 30 round magazines. They're 7 round magazines.

Well, yeah; you can't run long action calibers out of the standard AR.

But, uppers for conventional AR's run from .22 LR to .223/5.56, 5.45x39, 7.62x39, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, .450 Bushmaster, .50 Beowulf, and .50 BMG, plus a couple of others I've probably forgotten.

Specialty AR's by companies like NEMO can run up to .300 Win Mag. AR-10's usually run .243, 7mm-08, .308, and some other specialty calibers.

    Mass Murder:
    One aggressor.
    Kills at least 4 others.
    In a 24 hour period.

    The earliest
1913–Ernst August Wagner–Stabbed wife and four children, drove to Mühlhausen an der Enz, Germany. Open fired on 20, killing nine, several animals, and burning down several buildings.
1927–Stephanus Swart–shot eight before killing himself outside Charlestown, South Africa.
1938–Mutsuo Toi, a 21 year old, killed half of his small village in Japan. Killing 30 with shotgun, sword, and axe before committing suicide.
1954-1957–William Unek, on two separate killing sprees killed 57 people in Belgium Congo. 27 were killed by axe, 26 with gun, 2 with fire, and one by strangulation.

No AR 15s or clones were involved

Note: There are words for mass-murderer in many languages, including ancient ones.

Which goes to prove that we should keep weapons capable of rapid fire out of the hands of the general public

The key aspect that is being missed, however, is that there is no actual evidence to demonstrate just who is making the threats. There is no proof that they are being made by the NRA, or any other group.

Beyond such, it must be noted that in the united states, individuals fake hate crimes being committed against themselves for political gain.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...st-messages-that-shook-the-air-force-academy/

But on Tuesday, the school made a jolting announcement. The person responsible for the racist messages, the academy said, was, in fact, one of the cadet candidates who reported being targeted by them.

“The individual admitted responsibility and this was validated by the investigation,” academy spokesman Lt. Col. Allen Herritage said in a statement to the Associated Press, adding: “Racism has no place at the academy, in any shape or form.”

The cadet candidate accused of crafting the messages was not identified, but the Colorado Springs Gazette reported that the individual is no longer enrolled at the school. Sources also told the Gazette the cadet candidate “committed the act in a bizarre bid to get out of trouble he faced at the school for other misconduct,” the newspaper reported.

    https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/03/bogus-hate-crimes-trump-conservatives/

Fake hate crimes committed by progressives are by this point so familiar that they are practically a cliché. When a Muslim woman at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette was attacked and had her hijab ripped off, two things happened: One, the Left insisted that this announced the coming wave of pogroms against Muslims in the Age of Trump; two, people who follow this sort of thing began betting how quickly she’d be exposed as a fraud. It did not take long. Incidentally, her name has been kept out of media reports, even though she faces potential charges herself for filing a false report. These hoaxers should be publicly named, as there is no legitimate reason to protect their identities.

There were other fake hate crimes attributed to Trump enthusiasts: Zeeshan-ul-hassan Usmani of Cary, N.C., says that he planned to leave the United States after an Islamophobic assault on his son following harassment by neighbors who named-checked Trump. School officials say there is no evidence that attack ever happened. A gay man in Santa Monica claimed to have been assaulted by Trump partisans, but the attack seems not to have happened. The San Francisco homeowner who raised a swastika flag was not a Trump supporter but a Trump opponent. A catalogue of similarly false, exaggerated, or distorted hate crimes has been assembled by Reason.

    https://www.thenewamerican.com/usne...eates-perplexing-problems-for-law-enforcement

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Though little reported by the mainstream media, the U.S. has been hit by a series of “fake hate crimes,” also known as “hate crime hoaxes,” that have created a perplexing new set of circumstances for state and local law enforcement.

These cases of “fake hate crimes” have become particularly incendiary since Hillary Clinton famously characterized Trump supporters as a “Basket of Deplorables,” at a New York fundraiser during the campaign, stating, “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he [Donald Trump] has lifted them up.”

Ironically, the fact that the U.S. is experiencing this wave of “hoax hate crimes” suggests that racial animosity — which began subsiding in the 1960s — has continued to subside to the point where perpetrators must commit crimes in order to make whites seem hateful, when most whites have long rejected racial discrimination as abhorrent.

The twisted psychology of the hoax hate crime perpetrator involves a minority person willing to commit a crime, believing that blaming majority whites will somehow validate the political narrative that “white supremacists” are growing in number and becoming increasingly dangerous.

The burden of setting the record straight falls to law enforcement authorities — they must investigate each crime as a legitimate hate crime until they are able to establish incontrovertible evidence that it was in fact a hoax.

As the following two examples make clear, the perpetrators of fake hate crimes have to be capable of staging a crime that the victims will initially assume was committed by a white supremacist, causing a shocked reaction from the offended community, often accompanied by protest demonstrations and marches, and the victims demanding the hate criminal be apprehended and punished.

If NRA members are indeed making death threats to others then that is unacceptable, and they should be prosecuted accordingly. But with so many individual faking hate crimes against themselves, such claims of incidents lose credibility quickly.

What I'm amused most about the pro-gunners is how, despite having no logical defence, they herd in their comment. They're a great lesson in the terrors of cognitive bias, god bless em

How about pump shotguns, semiautomatic handguns and revolvers?

Or 19th century technology rifles and single action revolvers? That's 24 shots in 14 seconds.

As long as a very sizeable percentage of your countrymen see no harm in this despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary whats not to like ?

You like the idea of being able to killl one another as easily as is possible .... so go knock yourself out .....

we tire of your silly depiction of why we like freedom. However, we do like the fact we can kill those who would try to oppress us or force their foreign laws upon us if it comes to that. But the Aesop fox act gets old

the anti gun movement always goes back to its roots-hatred of the NRA and how its members vote
