So far all you and Obama have done is make healthcare unaffordable for people's ho already had health insurance before ObamaCare came along.

Good intentions are not enough even for libs.

You're full of it Ray. Of course it has to do with spending, or we wouldn't have went through this whole shutdown stage show again when we bumped up against the latest limit. We'd never hear "if we don't raise the debt limit...we can't pay our bills". It's right there, debt limit is what you can spend, unless you are going to admit they, Obama and Co., were fear mongering all along. It's your leash. We keep spending till it has no more room, and then need a longer one, which we will now bump up and spend until that one gets tight...because we cannot reign it in... and we'll be back here again in a few months.

    Ill see you here then.

The left are living in la la land.

It is because of their out of control spending that we have to keep raising the debt limit.

Not to worry they are already making arrangements to have their back pay reimbursed. Which means "NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED".

Nothing has changed, no new policies were put in place to reduce spending, or save money. We are right back where we started, only now we have to pay government employees that were not allowed to do anything, on their free paid vacation, and now they will have to get overtime so they can play catch up.

Yep. Thanks, conservatives, for damaging the economy and wasting taxpayer money!

What? No thanks at all for Obama who, as president of all the people in this nation, absolutely refused to even talk to republican leaders about the debt ceiling (you may have heard somewhere that this nation has a bit of a debt problem).

That's rather narrow minded, isn't it?

We've been over this. It was a GOP-forced shutdown; own it.

You mean you are satisfied with your own version of reality. Good for you but that doesn't change facts.

Not until you can jump in your little time machine and get Obama to change his intransigent
ultra combative words and public stance. There were so many threads here cheering on Obama when he absolutely refused to even meet with republicans you must remember them, or been in them.
I'm not about to "own" Obama's stubborn efforts to close down government.

Ok, so now we are back up and running, all is right with the world.

Whats Obamas plan to start lowering our debt and talk about lowering our debt limit?

...and liberals continue to waste money. Neither is innocent, both "ARE" the problem.

They (both parties) put on these big shows (to agitate their base) and still nothing changes (not for the good of the nation as a whole. Remember that oath thingy?), more of the same, and even worse. Remember the promise of change for the better? When will that ship launch?

    That remains to be seen.

Have you noticed how politicians don't always do what they say they'll do when they get into office?

That's like saying "FDR refused to negotiate with the Japanese in 1944"

That's cute. Kamikazes and all. Republicans aren't your enemy. The establishment and current administration are.
Republicans aren't spying on you and lying to you and congress. The administration officials are. The republicans aren't executing US citizens without due process... the administration is. The republicans did not pass the NDAA, the administration did. Republicans aren't miring us in Middle East wars for the interests of the gulf states and the house of Saud, the administration is.

Neither you, nor Don Glock are the enemy here.
This secret entity that operates above the law which survives each administration is. That is why they all act the same. It isn't their playbook. It is people much smarter than him, which put the worlds "intelligence" on his desk every morning. Everyone in congress and the administration need to go. We need to completely reboot. We need to elect nobody who has ever held office and resign to it. We should throw some libertarians in office too while we are at it.

Re: Bohner's surrender... see you in January.

Taking the GOP down to 28% approval...a record low for any party. Plus their own 22% approval....I'd say the Tea Party were BAD kamikazes. They crashed the plane into the ocean before even reaching an Allied ship.

In 1995, it was better to be a C student at any university in the US than a straight A student at a university in Beijing. Now that playing field has been leveled.

Yes, because the responsible way for a country to get better is to throw people with absolutely 0 experience at all into a position to make decisions for the entire country. That seems like a sure fire way to make things better, by better I, of course, mean a lot worse. Your theory doesn't make sense, and there is absolutely no work environment that would adapt that as a solution to anything.

Take it at the most basic level, fast food. No fast food joint would fire their entire staff because an extremist group among them won't make chicken sandwiches. That would be (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid, because the rest of the staff makes chicken sandwiches just fine. They work together to sauce the bun, put the cheese on, add the chicken, wrap it up and send it out. There's a group of people, however, that just won't do it, even when they know it's best for, not only the company, but for them to continue getting a paycheck.

You know what you do? You fire those people, because they aren't benefitial to the company, and they aren't worth the pay they're receiving. That's how business works.

The Tea Party thought they could bluff the White House and the Senate..... it didn't work. End of story.

    The Tea Party candidates have.

And that's what scares the pants off big government libs.

And that is good news for American workers how?

I'm not interested in leveling the playing field when that means American workers lose the American middle class dream.

Not sure if you've been paying attention, but the *********s just lost the battle. They don't scare anyone, and even other Republicans are calling them (*)(*)(*)(*)ing idiots. I can't even imagine where you pulled this from...

    It wasn't a bluff.

Millions of American are aghast at the damage ObamaCare is doing and will do to our healthcare system and were not willing to stand passively by without making any effort to save us.

    - - - Updated - - -

The Tea Party patriots lost a battle but not the war.

The fight continues because we are right and Obama and the establishment RINO's are wrong.

You're right, it wasn't even a good bluff, just a stupid rhetorical exercise at everyone's expense.....courtesy of the Tea Party.

Republicans made themselves look weak, divided, and stupid. That was the net result.

    The Tea Party stood firm.

It was the surrender monkeys in the old Republican Party who got cold feet and gave up.

    I agree.

The establishment republicans need to be replaced with more Tea Partiers in Congress.
