Well whaddya know eh? Sweden obviously doesn't have a statute of limitations clause in its Legislature, nearly 8 years ago. What an abuse of he individual by a corrupt clique of the powerful, and it's 'USA you've got him where you've always wanted him - now do your worst!'. This is almost as disgustingly perverse as the wrongful conviction of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi for the Lockerbie incident.

No less than your sympathy post for an American enemy and a criminal.

What's so depressing is that you're an adult but you have zero understanding of the underlying issue - that he performed a public service by telling you how useless your ruling classes are, and for that you want to put a bullet in his brain. That's seriously bizarre.

I am sure Hillary is trying to accommodate that action with another "suicide".

Another example of a progressive country telling women they are too stupid for their own good that there need to be special laws against men. He has consensual relations with women and a condom broke, so that is somehow "rape"? And yet, Sweden has been letting in thousands of raping hordes from the middle east since this action occurred and they refuse to attempt to prosecute them cause it may hurt the Muslims feelz.

From everything I've seen reported, the US case is very weak. Beyond inquiring whether Manning had additional info to share, Assange doesn't appear to have participated in any theft. I think the US wants information from Assange and nothing more. Assange indicated he would cooperate conditionally, and I think negotiations will resume. I also think the US extradition effort must be going badly. It might be easier to extradite from Sweden, and suspect that's what this is about.

I have no issues with releasing the private emails. More so in releasing sensitive government issues during the Bush Administration when we were fighting a war on terror.

What does that have to do with another person being "suicide" set up by Hillary?

Nothing since I don’t get triggered when fools use the word “Hillary”. It’s a dumb catch all for the weak minded. Same as the “Trump bad man” morons

Here are some Bush era docs Assange published. They deal with Vicky Nuland meddling in Ukraine. https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/06KIEV1706_a.html

Ah, 'the dark arts'? I didn't think of that. But on the other hand, if he's prepared to cooperate why did he put himself through all this? Why didn't he cooperate 7 years ago? No, there's collusion here between the UK and US governments, with Sweden being the patsy, and it stinks.

Assange wanted blanket immunity in exchange for the ID of his DNC emails. The DOJ balked. Either because US intel insisted he be prosecuted for vault 7, or because Assange trade off wasn't enough to satisfy them.

No, Assange is a hero, for at great personal expense, he has exposed the crimes of government.

    Yes, Sweden has an SoL.

It is explained in the article that you posted.

Your statement in the bolded makes it appear like you didn't even read the entire article before posing.

    Not a good look.

Hopefully, you did actually read the entire article (and didn't just blindly post a link that you (yourself) hadn't even read).

Here is the portion of Your OP Article that addresses that:

Prosecutors have decided to reopen the rape case before the 10-year statute of limitations expires in August 2020.

Btw--I have no problem with Assange facing charges in Sweden.:salute:

In other words they screwed him big-time? Fancy that?? Nearly 8 years out of his life and away from his family for being an investigative journalist and doing his job on our behalf. Those movers and shakers really must have something to hide, and something big? I doubt we'll ever hear any more of him. Like Yulee hopes for, he'll probably wind up with a bullet in his head.

Yeah, and accoeding to the BBC it expired 2 years ago. That 10-year statute of limitations you mention is a load of bullshit to justify this ****ing disgusting charade. Now you'l get your wish, so well done you.

Assange should convert to Islam and the Swedes will forget about the rape case.

It's beyond belief that anyone 'outside of the loop' wouldn't appreciate and applaud that fact. Now we all know why those who are in the loop are so vindictive. This must be the ultimate example of 'shooting the messenger'.

....and once again you are just plain wrong.

I realise I'm wasting my time here, but for the benefit of posters who do actually read, Assange faced a series of allegations in Sweden. The investigation into some of them was dropped in 2015 when the statute of limitations expired on them. The investigation into the more serious allegations was stopped in 2017 when it was clear Assange would not return to Sweden. The statute of limitations on the charges did not expire at that point.

Nothing has changed. Nothing has been invented or altered to 'get' anyone. This has been the case all along. Assange knew this. His lawyers knew this. Only the idiots dumb enough to swallow pro-Assange propaganda did not know this. How do I know this? because I have actually followed this from the start and I have been saying this to anyone who would listen (including on this forum) for years.

Some Americans prefer the bliss of ignorance. I myself appreciate transparency. Our NSA / CIA act as if they're autonomous, and they obviously can't be trusted to police themselves. Assange has doled out a lot of black eyes, so I sort of understand Yulee being angry. But this Russigate fiasco proves the agencies have run absolutely amok for years. Assange might be a foreign tool, but he's also been a tool of US reforms.

If someone is willing to correct me (I am willing to be educated if I'm truly wrong) then please do so but Julian Assange is a criminal in the eyes of America. Which makes total sense leaking private information that could easily put people in harm (physical and reputational) but everything to my knowledge he posted about was 100 percent factual (I.E. never proven false which is dangerous because a lot of his work hasn't been proven true either). Also it was not towards a political party and was done to only expose corruption.

If it did then why isn't she pregnant? And apparently she was 'asleep' at the time - yeah, apparently he 'raped' her while she was asleep. lol What a ****ing obvious stitch-up; wonder how much she'll get for her part in it??
