Jury finds Seminole GOP chair guilty in ‘ghost’ candidate case
    https://www.orlandosentinel.com/new...0220901-i2ggrblvvfhz5ozlgyih2xr2b4-story.html

A jury of six people found Seminole County GOP Chairman Ben Paris guilty on Thursday of causing his cousin’s name to be falsely listed on independent “ghost” candidate Jestine Iannotti’s campaign contribution forms in 2020.

Paris was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 200 hours of community service for the misdemeanor and ordered to pay roughly $42,000 — the cost of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation into the apparent vote-siphoning scheme.

One of the reasons that the GOP is doing the Chicken Little routine about so-called voter fraud is the fact that they are the ones engaging in voter fraud:

Wisconsin activist says he committed voter fraud to expose potential voter fraud

Florida Republicans appear to have been engaging in a large amount of illegal election activity beyond the ghost candidate scheme. The state Republican Party was also changing the voter registration of Democratic voters without their consent.

It is a certainty that the fascist-like Gov. Ron DeSantis won’t be turning his election police loose on where the election crimes are in Florida because they are in the Republican Party. All this without mentioning the number one form of voter throughout this country by the GOP: VOTER SUPPRESSION.

This is why we should have a national voter ID card, no mail in ballots, and in person same day voting. Our democracy is at stake.

I'm not sure I've ever heard of a "jury of 6 people".... wonder what the story is behind that?

Don't forget the BIG one in Florida is yet to come... Frank Artiles - Not sure when that trial starts, but the ghost candidate will be testifying...

Nothing to do with ghost candidates, dude.... Democracy is better served by NOT running truly fake candidates to siphon votes away from the Democrat candidate, wouldn't you agree?

Setting up ghost candidates was very effective in Florida for Republicans in the last elections. I think we will have a better idea of what the actual impact was by comparing it to the results in November.
