    You "stole" my thunder. I also say that why does it matter who commits a certain crime. The guilty needs to be punished consistently be they a anotor or a CEO or a POTUS. Scum is scum, pervert is a pervert, and a murderer is a murderer.

    Just a three day getaway with a lot of sun, sand and surf. I'm not into that. I learned about the one way sea cruise from a guy who stopped to talk to me and the gf at about 2am. Thought there'd a problem but he just explained why the streets were so safe. Interesting guy. Six months each year in San Andres and six months as an electrician in Colorado.

    I would want the guy to get 6 years and some intensive rehabilitation which might prevent a nit wit like this from ever assaulting anyone again. Same with the idiot right wing Proud Boy that just got 4 years for participating in a violent political riot. I believe in redemption and rehabilitation.

    We have more people locked up than almost every country here in California. What do you want, more prisons? I support fair and swift punishment for violent criminals. A first offender getting 6 years for assault is fair in my book. I believe in redemption and rehabilitation. You can’t just lock everyone who pisses you off for life champ.

    Hitting someone in the head with a baton, should be attempted murder. Hell, it's not entirely uncommon for a fist fight to be fatal.

    Portland Antifa member sentenced to six years for beating a man with a baton

    “a really terrible decision”

    Gage Halupowski is a 24-year-old Antifa goon who joined a rally in Portland back in June. During the rally, Halupowski struck Adam Kelly over the back of the head with a metal baton. Kelly wound up in the hospital where he received 25 staples to close the wound to his scalp. Last Friday, Halupowski was sentenced in the attack:

    Gage Halupowski pleaded guilty to second-degree assault in connection with the June 29 attack on Adam Kelly outside The Nines Hotel along Southwest Morrison Street. Halupowski was identified as one of several masked, black-clothed demonstrators seen on video hitting and pepper-spraying Kelly after he appeared to come to the aid of another man who’d been attacked during the protests, authorities said…

    Deputy District Attorney Melissa Marrero felt the charges and sentence were appropriate based on the severity of Kelly’s injuries and Halupowski’s strike. She said first-degree assault, which carried a potential 90-month sentence, and riot charges were initially considered in the case…

    Court documents show that a Portland police officer saw Halupowski hit Kelly, followed him and pointed him out to other officers who helped arrest him. He was accused of punching another officer in the arm while being taken into custody.​

    The Violent Antifa Thug pleaded guilty not only because he was identified by police but because there were several videos of the attack.

    And THAT, my RW friends, is why you ALWAYS bring cameras to a demonstration where there are going to be ANSWERniks and TotallyFa trash.

    They've got a history of attacking cops and counter-demonstrators going back at least a decade...
