I know lots of people who play that game... which is weird because it's 'so hard' being a minority, yet, people claim it all the time. Not saying it's wrong, I do it myself. My mother being Filipino, I claim the **** out of that on government forms because.. it benefits me. I dont identify that way or eat their food, but you can be damn sure I let people know when it works in my favor.

Kamala looks black, has black relatives and CHOSE to attend Howard University, which is a holy grail among black universities, matriculating a litany of political and historic civil rights figures like Thurgood Marshall, Governor Doug Wilder and Stokeley Carmichael.

She thoroughly understands black culture and it is part of her identity. If she also identifies with and understands her mother"s culture she should. I have become more impressed with her but I'll continue to scrutinize her positions, record and actions.

There is Affirmative Action but there is still discrimination against minorities who apply for jobs and you"re not bullet proof if you don't perform once hired.
