Well, that's what a human shield is. You were probably trying to point out hypocrisy and you're right. There is no shortage on either side. The only difference in this case is that she is not being given the same consideration as Ford was.

Perhaps you can show an amateur what efforts were made to shield Kav from criticism. It looked like Ford was allowed to make her case and then some. In this case, the ex girlfriend seems to be getting the Hillary treatment. Where are all these righteous fingers that pointed at Kav?

 

Recent polls appear to show that Ellison has now fallen behind his opponent. Evidently, the smear campaign by the far right has worked as we still await any evidence of the claims made against him. Even the local Fox network has stopped reporting the claims made as it, too, has found no evidence.

But back to this specific case - Ellison's accusers have been openly challenged by the local media (including Fox) to present the evidence she claimed to have had. Remember, she claimed to have audio/visual proof.

She presented NOTHING. Why?

You right wingers are the first ones to claim innocent until proven guilty. Well, Ellison still hasn't been charged with anything. So how can he be guilty if he hasn't been charged???

 

Why would anyone want to make a video of themselves being sexually abused public?

Nelson Rios confirmed to USA TODAY. Miller's attorney, Matthew B. Walerstein, sent USA TODAY a statement in which his client denied Perrineau's allegations. 67. Roy Moore, “The Republican candidate for U.S. Senator in Alabama was accused by eight women of a range of inappropriate conduct, ranging from unwanted attention to sexual misconduct and assault. Most of the incidents took place when Moore was assistant district attorney in Gadsden from 1977 to 1982. One woman, Leigh Corfman, said she was 14 when Moore, then 32, took her to his home, undressed her and guided her hand over his crotch. The legal age of consent, then and now, is 16. Moore calls the allegations "completely false," and plans to continue his Senate campaign.”

Mark Schwahn, “A screenwriter best known for creating the popular TV series One Tree Hill, was accused of "traumatizing" sexual harassment by 18 cast and crew members of the show, including Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, in a letter published in Variety on Nov. 13. The letter was penned in support of former Tree Hill writer Audrey Wauchope, who detailed in a series of tweets the treatment female crew endured on the show. According to THR, her parents declined to press charges and months later, Sizemore returned for reshoots in Malibu. Has a grand jury been convened to investigate? Are you angling to see the video on the internet?

What if it was you?

 

In order for a grand jury to be empanelled there needs to be probable cause. In order to meet the necessary criteria to illustrate this, there has to be information, corroboration, and documentation of a law's violation. Some form of reasonable grounds for determining whether a law has been violated needs to demonstrated. When this report of alleged sexual harassment-abuse was made this past summer, the accuser claimed to have had audio/video proof as well as corroboration. Further, Ellison's political opponents said there was "proof" of him having a history of past abuses against his former wife. Because of that they demanded that the divorce court disclose to the public all records to prove their claim.

Subsequently, the divorce proceedings records were released as we discussed previously. NOTHING was found to prove the claim made by Ellison's opponents of past abuse. In fact, the disclosure showed that Ellison's former wife suffers from emotional difficulties and that at no point in their relationship was he ever abusive towards her. On the contrary he was very kindly towards his former wife which proved a history of kindness, not anything else.

No evidence of probable cause, no evidence of past abuses, no corroboration = three strikes and you're out.

 

If I am going to make a claim that some party injured me in any way, I'm taking my case to a court of law and present my evidence for its consideration. I am not going to take my claims to the news media, make a pretense that I have evidence, and then proceed to default on presenting that evidence.

 

Nonsense. You would take your claim to the police - unless you thought the felon was above the law. Ellison, like many powerful DP pols have been operating beyond the reach of the law for a very long time.
