    The threat that cults present to society is very real. When the government finally relented and gave the Church of Scientology a full tax exempt status in 1993, it only cemented their power.

    We tend to underestimate the power of cult personalities. We blame the victims for falling for the hype.

    Trump has effectively broken our institutions of democracy. I only can hope that we can put it back together.
