    Banning something is not the same as requiring that everyone own one.

    You are banned from owning nuclear weapons. Does it logically follow that everyone can be required to own a nuclear weapon?

    Everyone needs health care. If you don't have insurance and get injured, and can't pay for it, it costs me money, The government is protecting me from you, in case you shoot yourself while cleaning your gun! . ;)

    You force someone to take something or you force something to be taken away. You are using force either way.....how is that different?

    These memes are factually incorrect. It's as if you're drawn to the meme because of it's colors and huge font size similar to how a three year old is drawn to a coloring book.

    Gun ownership in Switzerland is approx. 24% - so I guess that makes 76% of Swiss citizens non-law-abiding citizens. :roll:

    Well, scratch Kennesaw Georgia as a possible retirement haven for my wife and I...... Place didn't have much chance before, but don't need to be forced to own a gun in my golden years.... LOL.... I see several have already pointed out the impossibility of enforcing that brilliant piece of down home logic...

    There is a tradition of "a gun in every closet". WWII was a confirmation of the wisdom of this policy. In their spread the Nazi's spared Switzerland of occupation. This was not altruism, but because they were armed to the teeth. US civilians sent their small arms to UK citizens because they had none of their own.

    The statistics stand, besides the hyperbolic words of "required" gun ownership.

    Would you like to mince words, or address truth? Personally, I prefer the latter.
