What is your opinion on Kerosene, a mineral oil distillate, being an effective antimicrobial treatment for various illnesses?

    Toxicity

Ingestion of kerosene is harmful or fatal. Kerosene should never be used to get rid of hair lice as it can cause burns and serious illness. A kerosene shampoo can even be fatal if fumes are inhaled.

Used in small doses and for a limited period Kerosene is perfectly safe. The danger of Kerosene does not come from any inherent toxicity, but from getting vomit in the lungs after a large amount has been swallowed accidently or in a suicide attempt.

FYI---Rubbing Alcohol is the best thing to kill head lice. Just....no smoking.

Do people actually INJEST Kerosene? I have never heard of that.
