But we DO KNOW that stuff reported by your "pro-life" sites is not accurate.

What was going on in the second clip shown? Are you saying that this was a bogus clip that it didn't happen? What does it take with you people? Your so rabidly pro-death that nothing matters....not even a video. You don't need to hear anything...seeing is enough. That little finger.....you care nothing about. Its nothing to you people. God help you.

When does the life in the woman become human? And what does fully functioning mean...and when does that happen. Give me the exact time because we are dealing with murder as you call it.

But then this does not matter because you are pro-abortion until 40 weeks. So why make a statement like this?

Although this picture is REAL, the "explanation" and the sentimentality related to it are FALSE.

The fetus didn't "reach out," the hand FELL OUT while the doctor was beginning to close the womb after performing an in the womb surgery to fix spina bifina lesion that would have led the fetus to be born seriously disabled and would have condemn him to a short life of suffering and an early death.

This picture actually dates from 1996 and the "story" attached to it has been debunked many times as an "urban legend."

That is the reason why late term abortions are extremely rare and are only legal to save the life of the mother or if the fetus is not viable.

    That's the end of it.

Would you prefer to have a young woman die because she has been refused a "late term" abortion in spite of the non-viability of the fetus she is carrying?

You do know that this happened recently in Ireland. . .because of the strict anti-abortion laws.

Is that REALLY what we want in this country?

The second video showed a doctor performing a surgery on a wanted fetus that was probably due to be born soon. What's your point? The fetus lived. So I don't know why you're so upset about it.

Honestly churchmouse we aren't little control freaks that need to make sure everyone on a major scale follows our strict moral code and beliefs. Most of us just want to assure that we and our own families, those closest to us that we care about, are FREE to live their lives how we want and have authority over our own bodies without the interference from people who DO want to control them.

Can you really blame people for not caring about each individual fetus or person in the world? I care about the people closest to me; my family always comes first in my life. I don't have the energy to care about every individual out there.

I care enough that I think programs should be put in place to help women give birth to and afford and raise their children, but do I care about them personally or on a minor scale? Not really. And for anyone to say they do is a bit of a fib if you ask me. I just think each individual woman should be free to choose to carry her pregnancy to term or not and that's it.

You keep turning it into such an emotional roller coaster though with all the pictures and the bawling over the cuteness of tiny limbs, quite frankly you're just going to stress yourself out and keep getting upset. What's the point in doing that to yourself especially on a freaking Internet forum of all places?

    It's a blog.............

    Blogs is not real................

Well at least they have not impetus to contain any degree of truth

Let us look at the "facts" presented here

The blog attacks it's own source without giving specifics or a working link. Not only that but the source is from a different country with different laws. Unsurprisingly the statistics given in the blog are at variance with those from the site it is supposedly quoting

What do you think would be different in a real one? What does the film show that is wrong?

It shows the humanity of what is in the womb. So if an abortion were done as you all believe can happen at that gestational age....what would happen? Can you imagine the blood and tiny body parts. This is what you people condone...the right of a woman to not have surgery done on an unborn....BUT TO RIP IT APART AND KILL IT.

You believe a woman should have the right and power to kill something like was shown in this clip. IMO you don't have a moral code, sorry. You want power and that power is to kill living human beings. Living free means that for you people killing should always be an option. That instead of saving or taking life saving measures to save an unborn....a mother have the right to kill an unborn. Don't talk morals with me. I don't think you have any.

God comes first in my life. God would never condone abortion. And people with hearts that value life and know about it....would never condone it either. I love my family and they come second. I care about this issue so much I do what I can to help. Thank God that there are selfless people who do sometimes put others in front of their own personal desires and hobbies and goals. What if all the people who do good will work stayed home. What if all the people who helped in Katrina and Sandy....stayed home with attitudes like yours. Would the world be in a better place?

You want everyone else to do it...you obviously don't have time? It is obvious you don't care.....telling us nothing new here. You love, you champion abortion.

You are not emotional you could GAS about this...that is obvious. So this is NOT emotional to you. It is an emotional issue for those who love passionately life...especially the slaughtered life in the womb.

    Straw man

Another straw man - and again demanding that others follow a "script" of YOUR writing. Does not matter how many times you accuse us we are not that person/s

    ?

Then why is "god" such a prolific abortionist? Up to 70% of fertilised eggs never develop past the first week and of those a further 20% miscarry - this is what happens "naturally" so therefor must be the work of "God". Have you ever thought that maybe God does not want us overpopulating his beloved planet to the point of destruction?

Ad Hom AND a strawman - all for the price of one
And being this emotional is GOOD?? Why not expend that energy where it will actually do some good - fighting for children in third world countries. I assure you you would save more lives than simply stating your beliefs on the internet

I'm going to refrain from debating the statistics but instead want to ask a question related to the top three reasons cited

71% -- Woman didn't recognize she was pregnant or misjudged gestation

48% -- Woman found it hard to make arrangements for abortion

33% -- Woman was afraid to tell her partner or parents

If these are the top three reasons (that account for over 150% of all abortions by the way) then why are anti-abortionists supporting laws that close Planned Parenthood clinic that are the largest providers of women's reproductive services where a woman can have her pregnancy diagnosed for free (Addresses Item 1) and can typically obtain an abortion (addresses Item 2) and why do they typically support laws that require a teenager to at least provide parental notification and sometimes consent for an abortion (addressing Item 3)?

BTW Before a woman can have a late term abortion the medical professional must provide a diagnosis that her health or life is in significant danger. If this is not the case then the abortion would be illegal. So are medical professionals lying on their diagnosis that authorizes the abortion? I believe they could even go to prison for falsification of medical records if that's what's going on.

That's why I'd have a problem with the study because it implies that medical professionals are falsifying their documents and I don't believe anyone can provide significant evidence of that happening.

Is a 13th week abortion "late term"? You have misrepresented the source, which is about second trimester abortions:

    http://www.ajog.org/article/S0002-9...ciplineField=all&terms1=&terms2=&terms3=#sec5

And as it has been pointed out, the findings are damning to prolifers who are attempting to destroy Planned Parenthood, or otherwise create obstacles for earlier abortions.

What makes you think these obstacles are of the type that would delay a woman getting an abortion, rather than prevent her ?

Should abortion be legal at 6 months because otherwise some women might get an abortion at 7 months?!?

Roe v Wade established that the woman, A PERSON, has a right to have an abortion so why do anti-abortionists endorse laws that violate the Rights of the Person?

Note: the preborn are not person's and have no Constitutionally protected Rights although the US Supreme Court, in it's progressive interpretation of the US Constitution, did afford limited rights to the preborn at natural viability based upon "potential personhood" of the fetus at that point of gestation. Were it not for this progressive interpretation all laws infringing upon the Right of the Woman to have an abortion would be unconstitutional.

That's because they (for various reasons) don't believe that a woman should have the right to abort a fetus. Personally, since the fetus is a living human, I believe that abortion is murder, and therefore, abortion should not be kept legal.

Murder is technically the violation of the Right to Life of the Person but the preborn are not persons and therefore can't be "murdered" under the law. This is notwithstanding the "fetal homicide laws" that are really a misrepresentation of what "murder" is under the US Constitution.

And you don’t seem to care whether the woman dies or not. You won’t make it sound like women just decide at the end of the pregnancy to have an abortion. Is it because they look too fat? You insult women by accusing us of such behaviors.
