At the GOP debate, Bret Baier of Fox News asked all the candidates this question >> "Is there anyone on stage, and can I see hands, who is unwilling tonight to pledge your support to the eventual nominee of the Republican Party and pledge to not run an independent campaign against that person," And the candidates all complied with the question, including Donald Trump who raised his hand. OK. we got that now. Now here's a question for both fox News and the Republican National Committee, and all those involved in choosing the republican niminee for president. >> If Donald Trump continues to be ahead of all the other candidates in voter preference, as shown by a multitude of polls, will you pledge to nominate him as the Republican candidate for president ?
Not because of a poll or 100 polls. Only one poll counts. If he wins the primary vote, if the majority of Republicans vote for him in the primary elections, then I would. Polls aren't votes.
