had Clinton only known as President he could just refuse to testify under oath - Trump is setting a new precedent, Presidents in the future no longer have to answer to Congress, nor their staff

we want a corrupt government, remove congressional oversight, that is how we get a corrupt government

So you saying we wouldn't have had Trump, if Bill Clinton was removed from office?

    I agree

    Trump owns you.

Schiff does not own me in any way.

Don't stretch. It makes you look desperate.

If that is what you see happening (total distortion, but if it is...)...

    ...then laugh.

I laugh with gusto at some of the stuff you post.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm happy to help make you laugh.

It would appear that Trump's fans are incapable of thinking beyond 2020.

Throughout his entire President, a majority of Americans have disapproved of Trump's performance. Trump is the least popular President in modern American history. The GOP has lost several key elections in 2018 and 2019 and they lost control of the House because of Trump.

In other words, in all likelihood Trump will lose in 2020.

Trump's fans ignore all the evidence -- they avoid it, actually -- and insist that Trump is innocent. They are totally unaware of the consequences of that judgment.

Most likely in 2021 a Democrat will become President. If not in 2021, then 2025, or at some point a Democrat will be in the Oval Office.

If Trump is declared innocent of asking a foreign government to intervene in our election on his behalf, if Trump is declared innocent of using bribery as an incentive, if Trump is declared innocent of obstructing justice when he clearly defied Congress, then Democratic Presidents will be allowed to continue the practice.

That possibility exists as early as Jan. 20, 2021. Do Trump's fans really want to grant that kind of power to Democratic Presidents?

Trump is the least like because millions of voters grew up with useless participation trophies and never understood the words No.

They thought they would get a free ride with Hillary as the heir to the thrown to fundamentally change America, they where not expecting a big middle finger by the heartland of America

Clinton did not testify before congress, under oath or not. He testified in a civil case, and he voluntarily testified before Starr's grand jury. Presidents have never had to answer to congress because of a little thing called separation of powers, a linchpin of the Constitution. But rant away; have a ball.

You evidentially have the false and ignorant opinion that there is something untoward -- let alone illegal in any respect -- about NDAs. Or you have the ridiculous notion that congress has authority to somehow investigate Trump's personal life.

I think people should be able to tell what they know about their own President, sad that Trump is silencing them

The president or his inner advisors have never been forced to testify before congress -- a precedent set back in the 1780s.

My thinking is similar to the Garland stoppage. Democrats whine the loudest when their own dirty tricks are reversed against them.

As to previous elections, that has nothing to do with trump and this legal harassment of Trump.
The evidence is that Zelensky has replied around 4 times he was not pressured by Trump nor did Trump demand it as a personal favor. Trump said do US a favor by looking into this.

So this precedent will be reversed should this nation be so dumb as to elect a Democrat to the highest office.

Democrats have ruined the election process.

I wondered how the angry Democrats would handle the certain justice when this gets to the Senate where Trump will not be convicted. Sen. Graham is in charge and he flat guarantees the Democrats did this for nothing. It is the job of Schiff and Nadler to persuade the Senate. I know now what the outcome is. A verdict of not guilty.

we are not talking about his "inner" members, and yes they have, but they can claim executive privilege for some topics

Err, because they're fact witnesses, and they were subpoenaed?

You really need to throw common sense out the window to arrive at the conclusion that only one guy on the internet is just being selfish about wanting first-hand witnesses to testify.

When did the Dems ever refuse to hold hearings for a Supreme Court nominee?
