May I respectfully remind you that who orcwhich nation is more successful than any other is not your decision to make.
It depends on the acquiencence of othercnations and on what basis you make that judgement.
For example IMO norway is about as successful as any country can be. A fully independent democracy, entirely self sufficient in energy, with a freecat the point of use health service and à highly respected éducation system. It trades freely with the EU while retaining the right to ignore EU directives. It has decriminalised personal drug use , has strict gun laws and à very low crime rate.
And it just gets on with it. No drama. No exhibitionism. No defining politics by one or two issues. Very little money exchanges political hands.
Not of course forgetting the US close neighbourhood, Canada. And Switzerland.
    All quiet unemotional, and adult.

If the US and the model it offers is the standard of success you aspire to, then you should lift your eyes, change your criteria and change your direction.
No one outside the US thinks it is particularly successful other than national wealth and military, when what people really want is security, to feel safe, decent éducation and health and opportunity and peace and quiet...the knowledge that politicians are looking out for the things they dépend on so they can get on with their own choices , not the money the politicians can make or the tribal propaganda they can stir up in order to make that happen.

It is important to step outside the box from time to time and put yourself into context.
Many of the countries you consider inferior just ignore you and carry on being far more successful in those things valuable to those who live there.

I think you're over playing the partisan politics there. US Presidential elections aren't won or lost on the votes of the party adherents, they're won and lost on the votes of the moderates and independents. Plenty of people clearly disliked Trump without being any great fan of Obama, Biden or any Democrats. It seems like it was very much a "least worst" situation for many voters.

Biden has indeed been a worse President that many would have hoped but that just means it should be easy for the Republicans to beat him in 2024. They just need a rational candidate to present some clear, straightforward policies with wide appeal and who can be relied on to not generate any major controversies during the campaign. How difficult can be?

It can be unjust to generalize about any 'characteristic', including age. Some country's rulers have remained surprisingly vital, robust, and clear-minded well beyond the current age-limits imposed throughout many European countries on higher-level government officials today. One in particular comes to mind: Josip Broz 'Tito', who ruled Yugoslavia very effectively (although very autocratically) until the day he died at the age of 88. Another famous leader who lived to be 88 was French Premier, Georges Clémenceau (Le Tigre) who exerted great power in France during and after World War I.

English King George III was, by most accounts, quite mentally unbalanced, and even before he died at age 60, his mental condition(s) were so glaringly obvious that he was made to accept the 'regency' stand-on of one of his children.

Of course, these matters vary from person to person -- but -- they rise exponentially in importance when applied to leaders of any of the foremost nations in the world, and that's surely why many countries establish a 'cut-off' of age 70 for such higher government positions.

When/if it becomes clear that a nation's leader is not mentally competent to meet the assortment of demanding challenges imposed by his office, he should step aside for the good of the nation as a whole... surely we can agree on that much. And if so many Americans are concerned about Biden's mental fitness to be president, it should be discussed openly and truthfully, without the distraction of rationalizations, nebulous excuses, or any of the usual 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' mechanisms that political schemers, of all varieties, always try to inject into such considerations. Frankly, we don't have the LUXURY of being able to do that when we face mounting opposition throughout the world by leaders like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

And by what rules would you decide when à President is unable to effectively carry out his duties other than the one some tried to use when Trump's sanity was questioned. I think there is one in the Constitution IIR.
Otherwise polls. and comments, so easily slanted, become part of à willing community desperate to unseat à President they don't like. Just splash it all over certain media and you quickly have riots and hysteria in the streets.
The idea that "important countries" can't be presided over by anyone over 70 is , well, ageist.
If I can make a comparison I know well, the Prime Minister of the UK, aged 58 and elected with a huge majority just two and à half years ago, has been forced out of office for a catalogue of stupid mistakes, liés déceptions, trying to put Parliament out of action, changing the law to protect friends and à myriad of things I would not have thought possible in a fully functioning democracy.
But from what I read, Biden doesn't come close to the corrupt dishonest skullduggery Johnson got up to.
I have always believed that when criticising, one should know in what context the actions were taken.
I doubt if those who were pilled had any idea of what goes on in the ROW on a deep enough level to apportions blame, let alone a psychoananysis of someone they have not even met. What such polls say is " i am not happy , he is old so that adds up to "I am not happy BECAUSE older people are more likely to make mistakes".
Well when those people gain the same kind of years of experience that Biden has, they may have two minutes of my time.

Finally, you haven't noted the source of this poll AFAICS. I wouldn't be very surprised if it was sources with some Republican biased source.
It is red meat to struggling republicans who are still convinced they were robbed. It is part of a drip drip of antigovernment propaganda that creates huge doubt in the very heart of your government as well as making it so easy for any nutjob to feel superior to the POTUS and no one can challenge the accusation.
Just gives the adversarial confrontational friction that is damaging the country, another turn of the handle.
In fact it sounds very much like the end of the Roman Empire. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

Just one last thing that très Biden and Johnson together.
Years ago disquiet with an elected leader used to be on the basis of policy. Today i see much more " creative play," with laws, constitutions, more chancers' charters and serious offline rejection of the national and international order. ( Johnson and the withdrawal agreement and Northern Ireland for example. His creating new laws to protect friends. Etc. Trump's steal7ng documents and scramblung for cover)
As I see it Biden has never played such games. You should be pleased for they attack the very heart of à liberal democracy. He knows what that means and the results of its weaken8ng. He isnt sénile. He is just handling things he has little control over.

Biden's clearly cracked something in his head.

Here’s the gist of President Biden’s ‘soul of the nation’ speech that’s not at all fascist-sounding.

Time to elect some quiet rational adults:

    He's completely lost his mind.

“It was nighttime, and the backdrop — Independence Hall — was lit in deep red. The rhetoric was demonizing the enemy, the American enemy among us, the people who are not ‘normal,’ not ‘mainstream.’ And our ‘soul’ is stake.”

'I’m always a bit concerned about old men who are overly interested in my soul.'

The fundamental problem you have is that here are two contradictory accusations being aimed at Biden (personally, not the wider administration). One is that he is a confused senile old man who doesn't know what he's doing and the other is that he is some kind of fascist dictator controlling the entire country. I don't think you can have it both ways. If anything, both concepts being pushed at the same time dilutes the impact of them (regardless of whether there is any legitimacy or not).

Biden demonstrates the hallmark symptoms associated with several stages of mental deterioration. For that reason, he functions adequately to be a 'rubber stamp' for his radical, America-hating soothe-sayers, handlers, and others who drive the contemporary, progressive 'woke' agenda.

He's never had it in him to be some great "dictator" or anything like that. No, on the contrary, Biden's always been an unimaginative, mediocre, "stooge"-class politician... an unremarkable but dependable 'brick' in the large Democrat 'wall'....

The primary 'difficulty' in defeating ANY Democrat is always the same... they CAN, and DO, and WILL promise to shovel out more handout welfare, 'subsidies', and other 'free stuff' than Republicans. Ultimately, it always comes back to that, as Democrats first learned from their great, pandering demi-god, FRANKIE ROOSEVELT, ninety years ago!

An infamous example of Democrat election-stealing was Lyndon B. Johnson stealing the race for Senator in Texas, in 1948. If the Republican, Stevenson, hadn't been cheated out of the win, Johnson might never have eventually become president -- and we might very well have NOT gotten 60,000 American military personnel killed in Vietnam!

See what happens when cheaters win...?

As president, Biden hasn't always been a stooge for the far left but he is now.

Why should any national leader be à dictator?
Is that the country you want?
And what evidence do you have of some left wing liberal deep state driver?
    Those is pure conspiracy theory.
What is wrong with dependable?. It has raised th3 prospects of tens of millions of good Americans and created à national persona the ROW thought it could dépend on.
What are you looking for? Fireworks? Circus clowns? Cheap TB entertainment? Glowering theatrical Mussolini type profilés?
And finally what in your background informs you what the stages of mental détérioration indicate caution?

"The craziest thing about Biden (so far) is that he's actually thinking at least somewhat seriously about running for re-election in 2024."

same is true of Trump.... let's hope neither Trump nor Biden run in 2024

This vile sick hatred that has infected too many on the the Left.

WaPo columnist: Biden delivered a great "wartime address", eh?

'Question: With whom is the United States currently at war?'

'So if this is a “wartime address,” as Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson described it to Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, who’s the enemy?'

'To return to our “democratic principles and democratic practices,” Robinson recommends treating Americans like “wartime” enemies? To frame political debate by painting wide swaths of the electorate with a broad brush on the fringes and other-ize the opposition? Promising unity while demonizing dissenters?'

And these clowns cheer this clear madness.

The far left is about as far away from capitalism as one can get and most dems are authoritarian which makes most dems far left authoritarians which makes most dems communists.

Biden's breakdown while he was binging on Adderall was quite disturbing. Several networks buried this speech, but, it's still becoming known, and the sheer horror of an American president engaging in inchorent hate driven rage fests are likely to drive the poll numbers in the concern raised in the OP

You know, just when you think logic can't be tortured anymore and facts can't be more misinformed we get this.
WHO IS DECIDING THE FUTURES OF MILLIONS OF WOMEN AGAINST THEIR WILL?
WHO IS MESSING AROUND WITH WHAT IS "PERMITTED TO BE TAUGHT" IN SCHOOLS?
WHO TRIED TO TEAR DOWN A LEGAL ELECTI0N AND IMPOSE THEIR CHOICE ON THE COUNTRY?
WHO STANDS ON THE NECKS OF SUSPECTS FOR NEARLY AN HOUR?

don't tell me about authoritarian. The far right is always regarded as authoritarian...one important part of fascism.
