Our version of California, is number one on the Wealth Divide chart. It's a dead cert that Progressivism and/or 'socialism' results in a massive wealth divide. And it's just as certain that that is deliberate.

Yes, Melbourne. Or rather, the State of Victoria .. of which Melbourne is the capital. It's a disaster for the working and middle classes, a great success for the elites bent on mass disenfranchisment.

 

It seems to me the elites try to hide the divide by constantly pontificating about how much they “care”. And by bragging about GDP, etc. As if the young lady living in her car because the elites don’t want affordable housing is comforted by the fact the state has a healthy GDP.

The CA/Victoria comparison is interesting. I never thought about Australia having progressive enclaves, but I suppose all countries do. I wonder if the “gold rushes” of CA and Victoria were the foundation for future inequality? Coincidence or no?
