Jim Mattis' stark warning this week that President Donald Trump is "the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people" as nationwide protests have intensified over the death of George Floyd.

"I agree with him," Kelly told Anthony Scaramucci, former White House communications director.

"There is a concern, I think an awful big concern, that the partisanship has gotten out of hand, the tribal thing has gotten out of hand," Kelly said. "He's quite a man, Jim Mattis, and for him to do that tells you where he is relative to the concern he has for our country."

Mm, yes, their constant calling for calm and unity is terribly divisive of them. They should knock that off and start calling Fox News, Donald Trump and his supporters "the enemy of the people" and terrorists, and be sure to talk a lot about "us" and "them" in every speech. And, of course, no Democrats are attacking Trump with lies, but Trump sure does attack others with lies, and he does that on a constant basis, and it is a big part of why he is attacked by not only Democrats, but Republicans and independents (such as myself) as well.

I won't bother with the rest of your falsehoods about Democrats, other than to say I don't think you really believe what you're saying, because there is just no basis for it at all, and it all comes off more as a rationalization for an irrational hatred of Democrats than an honest, fact-based critique.
