Former President Barack Obama believed he was "too good" for Americans who were "constantly disappointing him" Obama continues, "What if we were wrong in being so right? What if we were too good for these people?"
    (These people?)

    Narcissistic much?
    How about condescending?

Obama just isn't as bright as he pretends. He got caught up in his own celebrity and completely lost touch. Bernie Sanders, the biggest do-nothing ever to hold an office, at least perceives that he needs to speak to the forgotten. But Trump is smarter that both of them combined and squared, and he works intensively long and hard to get things accomplished.

And here we are, back to the prog apology syndrome. It has two faces, either they apologize, or they demand groveling from others. SM-sickos.

There is no doubt that Obama's election infuriated the racist elements of the right wing. I can name dozens of examples I've seen first hand.

Smart like an authoritarian hell bent on undermining the Constitution. What you see as smart is really him playing you for a fool.

Obama was right. He was too good for much of this country. The election of trump has proven that.

That's why the US needs to be disbanded. We are no longer one nation. Vote to allow secession and end this nightmare.

Barack Obama never had to be bright. He was pretty much affirmative-actioned into everything he wanted with lackeys or mentors and THEIR lackeys smoothing the way for him and probably doing the real work. The presidency was the first job in his life wherein he had absolutely no choice but to actually DO the damn work himself. He failed spectacularly at it; but the point being that Obama was trained to BELIEVE in his own superiority.

The Right nicknamed Barack Narcissist-in-Chief for that very attitude which was constantly on display. Dowd is merely playing catch-up to what the Right perceived about Barack Obama from the get-go. But then again, the Right -- unlike Dowd and her fellow leftist journalists -- actually did real vetting of Barack Obama before he became president (and were called racists for their troubles BY Dowd and et.al. leftist drones) instead of do what leftists collectively did and just look at him and experience patented leg tingles and then fall down in worship . . . for . . . eight straight years while simultaneously issuing their Political Messiah a total and complete and unending press pass for EVERYTHING.

Sweet! The patented and standard and gratuitous playing of the leftist race card -- the player of which utterly discounted that Dowd is herself as leftist as they come. Drink! Thanks.

So leftists are now calling uber-leftist Maureen Dowd . . . a . . . racist because she has FINALLY got the audacity to tell it like it really is in regards to Barack Obama and his presidency? Sweet! It is gloriously amusing to watch the Left mindlessly consume their own kind.

Yes, that sounds like a baby saying they want to leave home, but take their pacifier that mommy bought with them.
You know the answer: Love it or leave it. All you fake anarchists have never had the ability to articulate just what it is you can't do in this country. You are limited only by your own failure and weakness.

Go off to some socialist country where you can do all the drugs you like, roll around in your vulgarity and live on perpetual welfare. And good riddance.

I did not see dozens, I saw one extended family. I met them during the election - they spewed hatred for Obama and his wife. Said the most offensive things. Voted against him. Once he was out of office and a new election came along, they were suddenly devout progressives. Clearly, their objection to Obama was racist - at least in part. But contrary to the way you like to paint your world, they were not Republicans.

Is that how it's supposed to work in this fictional dichotomy ? One must either agree with every opinion or disagree with every opinion of a particular individual. It sounds rather simplistic and lazy. I suggest evaluating each individual opinion on its own merits.

The shame of Obama and Hillary is that the presidential asperations for blacks and women have been set back decades. As a conservative, I don't look at a persons color or sex, but at their ideology. I loved Cain and Keyes and hated Obama;' I loved Palin and hated Hillary. We often don't consider that a conservative person of color or a conservative woman would bring a fresh and different conservative perspective to the White House.

At some level, I am very sorry that Obama didn't turn out to be one of our most beloved presidents. It does no good to elect someone based on their appearance. He had no experience - he got a free ride right on through based on the color of his skin and his demeanor. The guy was a community organizer, for heaven's sake. That's like being president of the Rotary club -- nothing in it prepares a person for the responsibilities and burden of the office.

Correct, and had Barack Obama been substance rather than just image then he would have gone down in history as a great president; at least the co-equal in greatness to both Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton (putting aside Bill's sleaziness). But there was no real substance to Barack and he was a professional race-agitator (per his early training) and a despiser of this nation (via his legion of radical leftist mentors). He had . . . no . . . substance.

Obama was too good -- too good for Maureen Dowd. Dowd is a typical liberal -- they know how to talk and write, but don't ask them to get anything done.

I remember another nation electing a man with no experience who was a good talker also.

That didn't work out so well.

Ummmmmmm . . . you mean the Pen and Phone presidential legacy of Barack Obama that Donald Trump has been methodically erasing one executive order at a time? Nice!

I can name one example, but then I know of only one racist here in the south where I have lived most of my life. Apparently you must live outside of the south where the racists generally are in the closet? Regardless, the number of racists in the GOP is much less than the democrats believe. But then dems had lost all judgement for some reason. When it comes to racism, they see them behind every tree, accompanied by russians!

If this nation or the GOP were as racist as the left claims, surely I would be surrounded by them and yet I am not. Most racism died off with my father's generation and his dad's generation. With the exception of these small pockets in places like north alabama and north ms. But these are in places where blacks never lived anyways, because there were no plantations there, being too hilly or mountainous. I live in an area where there were many plantations and so we have a high population of black americans, the ancestors of slaves. And the black and white americans here live in harmony, no racism except for a tiny few. And these do not exercise it by physical acts.
And they are uneducated idiots, so one would expect it. Just so few of them, thankfully.

Obama served very well as the president of a corporate state, but he did nothing to help working people of all colors and stripes. But then he is a modern democrat and this party could not give a crap about anyone but the elites, and upper middle class. The poor? Nope. But they can make these lower IQ people believe that they represent them.

The DP has to move back to what they once were, to be relevant as more and more working people wake up and as we get a larger working poor class thanks to this service sector based economy. I figure the millennials will affect that change, sooner or later given the size of that generation and the economic suffering imposed upon them by both the DP and the GOP, who on this issue are one party with two heads.

The Democrats summer of Suppression of minority votes was a
manifest lie.I need the name of One Black who was denied the
right to vote in 2012.The American electorate was lied to.

Tyrannical progressives always see themselves as far above the ignorant, need help masses that they (hopefully) rule over (for their benefit, of course). Obama is just more open and in your face more than most.
